1977 Mercury Comet – Same car as the 1977 Ford Maverick

This is a nice family car of the 70's. This might be the car you learned to drive in if you were 16 between the years of 1977 and 1982. I rebuilt the engine. The car is very clean for its age. In really good shape. Needs trunk work. Some dings here and there. Have had it to a car rally. Put 4 New whitewalls on too. Folks LOVED it. You will too if this car has meaning for you and you can do some body work in the trunk then it will pass inspection again. Was going to list it for $6,100. but felt that I needed to allow margin for the trunk work. Had it registered as "Antique" until this past April. I'm asking $4,600. I'd just as soon keep it, ut we’re senior citizens and have other priorities now.

Improvements/repairs made:

○ Emergency brake repaired / right rear brake line replaced / new brakes

○ 4 new whitewall tires

○ new wiper blades

○ locking gas cap (Original was stolen off the car)

○ Trunk-seal replaced

○ Rubber moldings around windows and in trunk replaced

Engine:

○ Head ground and replaced head gasket

○ Tune up / new distributor, ires, tc.

○ Rocker panel gasket replaced

○ Painted air filter cover and rocker panel cover

○ New Battery

○ Air filter

○ Fuel filter

○ Hoses & belts

If you’re not interested in running the car, hen it can be sold for the engine and other parts (though I’d hate to see that happen).
