Again, he Monarch is almost completely original and is near rust free (SEE PICTURES). I was looking under the driver's front seat and found the original Build Sheet hanging under the seat (SEE PICTURE). The vehicle retains all it's original exterior body metal and paint, riginal interior including carpet and seats. It runs and drives like new. This Mercury is a keeper!!!
Look at the pictures. There's almost ZERO rust which should be the case with such low miles. The exterior paint is a little faded and is faded through in a couple small area. I would pay someone to polish the vehicle is I was keeping it. There is of course a few small chips on the paint and is to be expected from a 36 year oldvehicle.
The only reason I'm selling is I have two of '78 Monarchs. Both all original and extremely low miles. This is the less expensive Monarch and I don't need twins. Please feel free to email and or call me with any questions. Everyone is welcome to come inspect and test drive (with me) prior to the auction. Thank you looking, hris 816.590.7660.

I've had a couple people ask several questions. The air conditioning works. I can drive this vehicle on the highway at 75 mph all day without any trouble. The carpet still has some of the factory plastic over it (sounds like what my grandfather used to do when he bought a new car every 10 years). The Monarch runs and drives like a 29,000 mile car. Everything works as it did brand new. Good luck bidding!
