Description

No reserve. Daily driver. not a show car. It is noisy. with a stiff suspension. requires ongoing maintenance. leaks oil and is not a Miata. so plan accordingly. Car is available for inspection and test drive. Bought the car locally in 2008. Was told it came from Texas. Body is rust-free except minor rust blister repair below rear taillights. lower A-pillar. lower front rocker(bubbling again). and battery shelf has been repaired. There is Bondo in front valance and next to left headlight. likely a minor accident. Car has older restoration and paint. Paint is good but has water spots. chips. scratches etc. Car came with: engine rebuilt 20+ with street cam; rear sway bar; tube shocks f/r; 45D distributor. no vacuum. Odometer says 96k miles but title says exempt. Since I have owned the car the following has been done. all new except as noted: steering rack and ends; front engine mounts; lower a-arms; wheel bearings and seals f/r; tires; except hard lines. all brake components including MC; clutch MC. slave rebuilt; windshield; driver seat foam and straps; poly suspension bushes f/r except upper trunnion as poly wore out; Longman big valve. ported. polished. hardened-seats head; SUhif44 carb and K and N filter; exhaust pipe; electric cooling fan; Petronix ignition; wires. cap. rotor. plugs. coil; starter; newer gas tank; diff seal; driveshaft u-joints; fuel pump; horns; turn signal switch; light switch; ignition switch; alternator conversion; seat belts; battery; Moutney 12” steering wheel; alloy valve cover. Most parts are from VB. Moss or BPNW. Top and seats are good but have small tears. Dash pad has a crack. Oil pressure is 60 psi at 60 MPH hot. Compression is 160-165. Front uprights were cleaned. greased and new seals a few years ago. I use only synthetic fluids and ethanol-free premium gas. Have the bumpers and other parts that were removed. Door windows have scratches. Speedo reads 5 mph high. Oil leak at rear seal and some seepage at head gasket. Selling due to retirement- was my fair weather commuter. Car is sold AS-IS. no warranty express. implied or otherwise. All funds must clear before car leaves. Full payment must be received within 7 days of auction end. Don’t ask to refund overpayment from bogus cashier’s check etc. Buyer to pay shipping costs.
