The First 1964 MK1 MGB Roadster was built in January of 1964 and the last 5 numbers of the VINwere27927...this is VIN 28684and therefore was the 757th one built in 1964(April production & for the U.S.market)
MGB represents one of Britain’s most iconic classic cars. Its status as an everyman’s sports car cemented its place in the popular culture of the 1960s and ’70s. Today, he model’s success in period has translated into a quickly appreciating, ery usable classic car.
Launched at the October 1962 London Motor Show, he MGB had an attractive envelope body, schewing, inally, he traditional British separate fenders and low-cut doors. At the rear, or the first time, as a useful trunk, he fuel tank having been tucked away under the body.
Although the MGB was produced over an 18-year production run, here were many series of changes to the styling of the car over that time. Mk1 MGBs, roduced from 1962–1966, re defined by the purest styling cues: pull-handle doors, teel dashboards, tow-away tops, nd chrome bumpers.
A small number of MGBs were fitted with an electronic overdrive operated by a switch on the dashboard to the left of the steering wheel. The overdrive unit allows for comfortable highway cruising at 80 mph without placing unnecessary strain on the drivetrain.
This early MGB with overdrive and the desirable pull-type door handles and metal dashboard, as built in April 1964 as a US-market model.
It was given a full nut-and-bolt rotisserie restoration for the prior owner in Florida some three years ago, rior to being acquired by a well-known MG collector who participated in the 2015 Mille Miglia Storica with his storied “works” MGA.
Attention to detail is exceptionally good, ith correct fittings and decals in the engine compartment. The interior is black vinyl, s original, ith the seats finished with red piping and the floor carpeted in red.
It has the factory speaker console with speaker but no radio installed; a correct MG radio delete plate is in its place. A matching red aftermarket fiberglass hardtop is included, n addition to the black roadster top.
As with most cars, he purest form of design is found in the original configuration. For MGBs, t is the first generation (1963–66).
MGB owners were famously among the first to beep their horns when encountering another. Obviously, his happens less frequently today, ut the spirit lives on in this excellent example.
Now if you happen to own one of these rare MK1 MGB Roadsters with overdrive, ou can restore it to the quality level of this car for $60,000-$75,000 or you can buy this incredible example for a fraction of what it would cost you to restore one to this level.
Please do NOT write and ask "what is your reserve?" or "what is the lowest acceptable price?"
Please call us at954-873-6495and we will give you that informationimmediately...but only on the phone!

We wanted to take a video of this car running and driving but the weather wouldn't co-operate today in Jupiter,FL.
You can see the raindrops on the car in some of the photos...the reason we had to takea lot of the pictures indoor.
The expensive, rofessional rotisserie restoration was completed in 2012 but the car has only been driven a few hundred miles since completed.
We checked all of the switches and accessories and found all to be in correct working order. Here are a few.......

The soft top is brand new and the Hardtop is a new as well. (after-market)This car has the correct "radio-delete" dash plate but is wired for a stereo radio system. The antenna is installed and you can install thesystem of your choice either in the dash or in the locking Glove Compartment.
Both windows roll up and down correctly and the fit of the Hood, runk, nd both doorsis as good as it gets!
The undercarriage is immaculate and in our opinion, his 1964 MK 1MGBRoadster with two topsis in Number 1 condition.
Your inspection is most welcomed. You'll love the way this car looks&drives!

Contrary to logic and common sense, IN numbers are not necessarily easy to translate directly into a precise "build date" when a MGB rolled off the assembly lines, s they are not necesarily sequential.
Specific MGB model changes by VIN number can be found in the bookOriginal MGB by Clausager- he was the offical Archivist of the factory production data at the British Motor Industry Heritage Center. You can purchase a Heritage Certificate (aka BMIHT certificate) for your car, howing production data and original color and options, ompiled from original factory records. These can be purchased at theHeritage Motor Centre UK

When is the last time you've even see one and in this condition?Shipping: If you need help shipping this car in the U.S. or anywhere else in this world, will be happy to put you in direct contact with Mary Olson who has been our sole shipping person for not only us, ut for several of my friends who own car museums. She is honest, eliable, ependable and gives great personal service. She has arranged shipping for myself and several of my friends of more than 3000 cars over the past 10 years.Recently she shipped 42 cars to one collector enclosed and every car was on its way in a couple of days and delivered without ascratch within 3 days thereafter.Twenty First Century Auctions has been selling fine Late model sports cars, intage and collectible cars on EBAYMOTORS since March of 2000 and we have a 100% feedback rating.Even in this very tough economic times where real estate has tumbled down a very steep hill....vintage cars...the real ones...the pedigreed cars in great restored or near perfect original condition continue to hold value and in most instances appreciate.
Invest your money in something you just don't "Put in the Bank" but something you can "Drive to the bank and anywhere else you might choose to do with your family & friends."Why not have fun with your money? ...enjoy your life and know that when you wake up in the morning your dollars are still safe in your garage or warehouse&haven't evaporated into thin air!
If your tired of seeing the stock market drop 200-300 points in a single day...put your money into appreciating assetsthat also will actually put smiles on your face every day!
I asked JerryJ. Moorewhile staying at his house in September of 1989, why do you now have over 1000 collectable cars?"He replied with a slight grin and replied "Should I buy more?" We made a 10 car deal involving V-12 Ferrarison a breakfast napkin at the Dobbs House restaurant in the Houston Hobby Airport just before I boarded my flight back to Miami, lorida...and that was Jerry J...having fun and wheelin & dealin 24/7...anywhere and anytime!Iconsidered my self veryprivileged to be close friends with the late Jerry J. Moore fromHouston,Texas. Jerry was a Real Estate Mogul and one of the largest owners of shopping centers in the world.I really miss my pal and think of him often.Jerry was also an avid car collector and amassed one of the largest and best vintage car collections on the Planet. If Jerry told me once....he probably told me over 100 times......"In case you forgot...remember..."You will never see a Brinks truck at a funeral service or a Hearse with a luggage rack at a cemetery!"He believed that at best, ife is uncertain and thatone should enjoy desert 1st.Car collecting is a family thing...everyone around the world admires and loves these great vintage and collectible cars.We have sold cars fromAustraliatoAlaska...FromChinatoSaudi Arabia.....FromManhattantoMoscow....and the hobby keeps growing & expanding all the time.Collector car insurance is dirt cheap...about $250-$300 a year for a quality collectible like this. and you can buy full coverage! They usually require a garage and not more than 2500-3000miles a year put on the car.I recommend you only buy a car like this if you have a garage to keep it in.I always try and look for major flaws and mention them and try to point them out when I see something. If you call me I will go over the car with you in great detail...both inside and out. The couple of tiny flaws are too miniscule to show up in photos...but I'll be happy to point them out.Your welcome to come in person to inspect this car for yourself...hire anyone you like to come on your behalf....bring your Experts and magnifying glasses........see if you can find anything really negative worth mentioning...we tried and couldn't find anything other than what we stated in the description...maybe you can?We have tried diligently to find any MAJOR flaws in the paint, ody, nterior, echanical or electrical systems and have not been able to locate anything that we could list as a MAJOR problem in the description or that we haven't already mentioned.
I truly believe there is NO such thing as a "PERFECT" old car or even a late model car that has been driven, E ARE NOT making such a claim.....but this car comes close to perfection...ESPECIALLY when you consider it is 52Yrs Old !
We are urging you toPLEASEcome and inspect the car in person, rive it or to hire an expert inspector to do this for you. AGAIN....Please do not ask us to recommend anyone....we want you to select & hire your own inspector.
If you wish to schedule an appointment to see this car, lease call me at954-873-6495....We would appreciate at least a 1-2 day notice.
