Description
PRICE REDUCED FROM $7000 1979 MGB with A/C. This car was off the road for many years and has been refurbished and is now in excellent shape. Body is rust free with a brilliant base coat/clear coat urethane paint job that is a 10 footer as it could use more buffing in some places. Done in original color (pageant blue) that was only used for 2 years. As the british would say, his is a very well sorted automobile. Much attention was given to details. All gauges, ights, orn, adio all work. Front suspension bushings and steering boots replaced. New flexible front brake lines replaced, ll calipers and brake cylinders renewed. New a/c compressor, ines and drier installed. Interior is good with a near perfect dash, nearly new carpet and nice seats with a couple of small holes in drivers seat. A new Robbins convertible top was just installed. New beauty rims and lug nuts installed. Car runs strong and drives great. Engine, lutch and transmission are excellent. Car has been lowered to chrome bumper car height with new front springs and lowering blocks in rear. Fuel pump has been rebuilt, as tank dropped and totally cleaned and new sender installed. All rubber gaskets are in near perfect shape. All important windshield rubber has been fully replaced. Tires are older and should not be used for high speed. A set of red-lines would look great on this car! The very unusual accessory A/C should be really great. A new sanden style compressor will create very little drag on engine and should be really great on hot days stuck in traffic or to clear up fogged up windows in the rain. With the A/C is a belt driven radiator fan in a cowl and an accessory electric fan as well. I have seen a few of these units and nobody seems to know for sure if these are factory or dealer installed. This system has of course been converted to R134 freon. This accessory represents a several thousand dollar value. Unit has not yet been evacuated and charged. The idea of the very extensive update on this MGB was to provide a troublefree and enjoyable ride for years to come while also watching the value go up! Sold as is, here is.
