Description

PLEASE EMAIL OR CALL ME FOR A LINK TO A PHOTOBUCKET ALBUM WITH 118 PHOTOS OF THE CAR FROM ALL ANGLES INCLUDING THE UNDERSIDE, AND THE NUMEROUS PARTS THAT COME WITH THE CAR. TDHIXON@GMAIL.COM OR 706-799-0257.

Up for sale is my 1971 Tartan Red MGB GT. The photos speak for themselves. Its a really nice car. Its an older restoration, but the previous owner did all the right things. The work included new floor pans, new rockers, everything epoxy primed and painted. The underside of the car is in great shape with a host of new parts. Unlike many BGT’s that have rolled across EBAY lately, this one is not rusty, and I’m not shy about showing off the underside of the car. I have a lift, so if you want any additional photos, just email and I’ll snap them and send them. Things I’ve done to the car since December include: new clutch, pressure plate, throwout bearing, clutch slave cylinder, clutch master cylinder, braided stainless clutch flex line, brake master cylinder, braided stainless brake flex lines, high torque gear reduction starter, points, condensor, cap and rotor. When I bought the car, the original emissions equipment was intact which included gulp valve, air pump, hard lines, etc. I still have all the emissions equipment that I removed, and it comes with the car. That stuff is expensive to replace, and comes with the car. I removed it because it’s not necessary to the running of the vehicle, and I wanted to save it. The previous owner collected a box full of parts that all come with the car and are in the photos below. The paint on the car is an older dupont acrylic lacquer paint job. It has some flaws, so look at the photos closely and ask questions. It's in good shape, polished well, and the good news is that I have about a third of a gallon of the original paint so repairs can be made (acrylic lacquer is easy to blend). I am the second owner of the vehicle (technically that is. Son of original owner took possession when his dad died and sold it within a few months.) I have a clean Georgia Title as well. Over all this is a great driver in really solid condition. Since I’ve owned it It's been on two vintage car rallies, and I’ve driven it on several long trips. No breakdowns, no issues. Mechanically it's rock solid. Also comes with a new California Car Covers car cover.
