Unleashed to the public in September 1945 the TC was MG’s first post-war production automobile. Many race car legends including Phil Hill John Fitch and Denise McCluggage owned and raced TC’s. the venerable XPAG 1250 cc inline 4 cylinder engine it was rated at 55 HP at 5200 RPM.This numbers matching example marks the last year the TC was produced. Chassis number TC6669 was manufactured on September 1 1948. This TC represents a long family ownership from California. Note the excellent period license plate that comes with the car. The car is a rust and accident free example the frame has no corrosion anywhere. The horizontal radiator shutters are painted a subtle dark maroon complimenting the exterior Sherwood green. The car is very sound mechanically. It runs and idles nicely drives like a dream and since in our care the brakes have been rebuilt shock bushings replaced complete fluid change and road test.The TC comes equipped with all weather equipment top tonneau and side curtains. In addition it is fitted with a period Marchal driving light Brooklands windscreen vintage turn indicators period correct owners manual and a Brooklands steering wheel compliment this wonderful automobile.This is just a beautiful looking and driving 1949 MG TC!
