Description

Please no zero- or low-feedback bidders without contacting me PRIOR to bidding! You are bidding on a wonderful example of a two-owner low original mile (52k) rust-free 1979 MGB in beautiful original Pageant Blue with two-tone black and cocoa interior. This is a rust-free car wearing original paint still very shiny and good-looking as you can see. There are minor dings and dents; nothing major... the pictures were taken from about ten feet away and you don't notice them because they are indeed very minor. The body is straight panel alignment good never involved in an accident. Bumpers are original and not sun-damaged. The wheels are original and have been restored and wear almost new radial tires. The engine is original to the vehicle and underwent a light overhaul by the original owner at 50k on the odometer. It has been driven just over 2000 miles since the work was performed and the car runs beautifully. The cooling fans have recently been replaced with new as well as the electric fuel pump. The ignition is electronic/breakerless and performs wonderfully. The car runs smoothy has power throughout the full RPM range maintains strong oil pressure and runs cool. All the gauges work all electrical features and systems work except the horn; it blew its last recently... easy fix. Regular and routine maintenance since new; very well-sorted out.The interior is gorgeous featuring black bucket seats tan door and kick panels and cocoa carpeting; a very classy and attractive combination. This MG also sold new with the rare and optional factory removable hard top still in pristine condition. It also has its original soft top still quite serviceable although the zipper for the back window has failed. It comes with its original full cockpit tonneau cover as well as the original convertible top boot.Additional features include the luggage rack as well as a new premium sound system with remote. The engine has been recently tuned the brakes gone through and the clutch adjusted and bled to get the best pedal feel possible. The carpet kit is brand-new and is a correct factory replacement colored kit. The car has spent most of its life garaged and always cleaned before being put up... it shows. I took pictures of the pristine rust-free floor pans when the carpet was out as shown. The only thing I can think to mention regarding service and/or maintenance is that the third gear synchro seems tired; if you speed-shift into third you will get a bit of gear grind. If you throttle off or double-clutch no grind. Does NOT pop out of any gear and when driven "normally" you won't notice. That said I want to disclose anything and everything for your consideration.Clear title in hand matches VIN exactly for state inspection registration or export. Please be prepared to pay in full within three days of auction's end via cash major bank cashier's check (must wait for funds to clear issuing bank PRIOR to releasing the vehicle and/or paperwork) deposit into my Bank of America account or bank-to-bank funds transfer. While every effort is being made to describe the vehicle as precisely as possible it is in fact a 36-year-old classic and therefore being sold as-is without warrantee or guarantee expressed written or implied. Shipping is the FULL responsibility of the buyer; I will make myself available for your carrier on short notice. You may call me directly at 360-936-9257 with any questions you may have. I reserve the right to end the auction early as I have the car advertised locally as well. Please no zero- or low-feedback bidders without contacting me PRIOR to bidding!
