Description

1972 MGB convertible with the 1800 motor and 4 speed transmission. Mileage shows 19641 but I bet that’s not true. I drive this car regularly and it runs good and the engine does not smoke or burn oil and does not make any strange noises. The transmission shifts well and does not leak or make any strange noises. The clutch works well. This car does not leak any oil and is in good mechanical condition. The brakes work well and it steers straight and smooth. The head lights and brake lights work as well as all of the side marker lights. You may notice one of the license plate lights hanging out and that's because I'm replacing the bulb. I have replaced the gas tank with a brand new one as well as the gas sending unit. It has had new plugs and wires and rotor and distributor cap. It has had the oil changed also. The car starts and runs fine and drives fine. You will notice that I have the air breathers off of the carburetors and that was to change the filters. I do have the stock air cleaners for the car. The exhaust is a little loud but nothing crazy. The seats can use covering but I just drive it as is. The driver's floor has holes and again I just drive it that way. The passenger floor is better but I guess if you were fixing one side you would do both. I removed the top and the top frame because the old top was worn badly and I still have the frame but I have not put a new top on and the top frame is not installed on the car. I have the tonneau cover and the bars that go with it. The tires are not great but they hold air and have tread. You may see that there is a rust spot on the passenger side behind the door opening and the driver's side front fender has a few spots where the paint is coming off but there's not rust there. The car does have rust here and there but it's not as bad as many of these MGB's that I've seen. I have a few extra parts that I bought from a guy who had parted out a MGB and the parts go with the car. Please ask any questions and I will answer as best I can. I want anyone who might buy this car to be happy with it so please look it over close and again ask any questions you might have. I have a clear title for the car. I am listing the car locally and will end the auction early if it sells locally.
