Description

I purchased this car in 2013 for my wife after we sold our last vintage Italian car, ut she doesn't drive it very often -- so it is time for a new home.
This car captured our attention as it offers the best of both worlds -- iconic 1950's Italian styling and hand-made aluminum coachwork with a reliable drive train and readily available parts. This car has always reminded me of the Ferrari 166 Inter with the front fascia of a Lancia B20 -- for a fraction of the money.
For you collectors -- yes, hese are pictures of the car at Fantasy Junction from 2012 but I did not buy it from them -- I purchased it in 2013 from the private owner who took 14 years to restore the car. The car remains in the same condition as these pictures. The only changes I have made it to remove the "Bella MG" front license plate and remove the Shorrock Supercharger as we actually drive this car and I didn't want to fiddle with oiling the supercharger for operation. The supercharger comes with the car.
I could offer a long explanation of Stanley Arnolt and how he walked the 1952 Turin auto show to strike the deal to have these built -- but you can find all that stuff online. The bottom line is that 1950's hand-built Italian cars in limited (sub-100) build quantities are all breaking through the $500K barrier -- and the Arnolt MG's are historically significant because they saved Bertone from going out of business. You will note the picture of Nuccio Bertone's widow standing next to this exact car (last picture).

I have driven this car at 75mph and it drives wonderfully. It is started and run every month, he twin SU carb's receive their proper oil every 250 miles, nd the car is stored on a Battery Tender under cover in a private storage building.
I've been on eBay 15 years with 100% positive feedback and have been a car collector for 30 years. PPI's welcome and all records and a scrapbook of the 14-year restoration come with the car. I reserve the right to end the auction early as it is being listed for sale in other publications.
