Description

Very solid, ll stock and original, ust free, ccident free, omplete, outhern California (with pink slip!) 1972 MGB Convertible. This car is especially suitable for someone who wants to restore an MGB or wants an easy project to turn into a driver. That's what it was going to be used for before the owner passed away. I'm selling it for his widow who is a dear friend of mine. It's been a Southwest car its entire life and has spent the last 22 years under cover in a garage in the dry, esert climate of St. George, tah (before that it was 100 miles south in Las Vegas... similar climate, nd before that it was in Southern California).
It rolls and steers very easily and all tires hold air so it's very easy to move around. Other than some light dents, here are no signs of accident history anywhere on the body. It has only had one ancient respray in the original color. Side glass is good but the windshield has two rock chips and a crack. The undercarriage looks really good (see pics). The hood is an aluminum unit from an earlier MGB. It's on there simply to protect the engine. The top frame is also included.
The interior is complete and unmolested. All it is missing is carpeting and upholstery on the seat frames. I have pictures of all the extra parts available. Floorboards are rock solid, oors close solidly and windows roll up and down properly. Dash and gauges are unmolested and look very good. There is a vintage 8 track player mounted in the glove box. And it even comes with the keys.
The engine is locked up inside somewhere (most likely in the block as the head looks newer). I suppose it's possible the starter or something else is stuck but I don't know MGB's well enough to assess. Transmission shifts fine and brakes work but plastic master cylinder bottle is very brittle.
I hope this car ends up in the hands of an MGB aficionado who desires a great, riginal, nmolested, ust free SoCal MGB as the basis for his next project. It's too stock and complete to be anything but restored or turned into a wonderfully patina'd regular driver. Just my two cents.
My name is Chris and I am happy to answer your questions. Please call me at435-669-1470. I also have about 175 pictures that show every nook and cranny in great detail including tons of the undercarriage and extra parts. Send me your email address and I'll get them to you. This sweet 1972 MGB is located in the dry, esert community of St. George, tah (a little over 100 miles north of Las Vegas). Good luck and good bidding.
