Description

Up for sale is a 1987 Nissan 300ZX 2+2. This vehicle has less than 98000 miles. This car will need paint soon as the clear coat is peeling and the red is fading especially in sun prone areas. The body is very straight with only a few pen size dings. There is no rust I know of. There was some surface rust in the back corner of the hatchback (inside under the deck mat) due to leaky tail lights (common). I removed it with a wire brush and primed the area. It cannot be seen as it is under the carpet. I sealed the tail lights with OEM stripping. The wheels are oxidized a little as would be expected from a car this age but the wheels are very straight and there is only about a 1" curb rash on only one of the rims. The back tires need replacing but the fronts are about 60%. The A/C works but will need a R12 recharge. The interior is in pretty good shape except for some fading in sun prone areas (under hatch and around headliners at T-tops). The tops are in great shape and do not leak. The seats look good except for a small area on the driver seat bolster from getting in and out. The clutch throwout bearing is starting to moan a little but it does not affect driveability. The power antenna works but makes clicking noise when fully extending or retracting. The engine runs like a sewing machine. The stock radio is replaced with a SONY CD and USB unit. The factory amp is removed from under the passenger seat. Some things that have been replaced on the car are as follows; new rear shocks, ebuilt front struts, ew front bearings and ball joints, ater pump, iming belt, ensioner, hermostat, adiator hoses, am seals and crank seal replaced approximately 5K miles ago at Nissan dealer. The car has no engine leaks and does not burn oil. The car does have its share of rattles and squeaks as can be expected from a car this age. It is so fun to drive especially with the T-tops removed.
