Peppy 4-barrel 330 cu. in. V-8 engine and floor-shift 3-speed manual transmission. Period correct Tiger CD ignition ensures effortless starts and smooth running. New brakes. Original exhaust sounds great.
This is a solid car that shows very well. A few paint blemishes and minor scratches on the body could readily be fixed without major expense. There is a small amount of rust at the interior base of the front windshield, apparently a common occurrence.
The car is fun to drive and a great example of early American muscle. Whether cruising, taking a day trip, or just enjoying top-down driving on a summer day, this bright red Cutlass beckons your call.

Update 1: See additional photos added to listing.
Update 2: We've researched as deep as reasonable and decoded the various numbers on the car -- VIN, Body Tag, engine/trans stampings and castings, etc. We are reasonably confident one could call this a "numbers-matching" car. Even the date code on the original muffler supports the May 1965 build date. Everything about the car says it is an unmolested original. The only change is that someone repainted it Target Red. They did a nice job. It was originally white. Cars in this original condition are increasingly hard to find.
Update 3: The car was examined by a local expert in 64-5 Olds Cutlasses and 4-4-2s. He was impressed with the condition of all its stainless and chrome trim. More often than not, these are pitted or otherwise corroded/aged. This car shows none of that. Everything is bright and shiny. His conclusion was that the car has either led a sheltered life (literally), or someone spent a lot of money on it. Not to say the car is perfect, mind you. Just that it is a very, very nice example -- according to someone who knows.
Update 4: Please see two new photos added today. The tree reflection shows off the high luster of the paint on the hood.
Update 5: Odometer reads 38499. With its original 1965 muffler intact, I'm leaning toward this being the actual miles on the car (as opposed to 138499). Will advise if I learn more.
