I bought this car in an auction in Grant Nebraska. The Auction was all cars owned by a long time car dealer. I think he took all sorts or cars in on trade, then kept a lot of them for decadesin his metal buildings. This one appear to have been off the road since the high gas price days of the 70's.Most notable rust, except for the surface rust over most of the top surfaces, is in the quarter panels. I have lower quarters from a 62 Buick, that have a different bend at wheel opening tops, but below that, should make fine patch panels. There is a dent on the top of the left quarter, as though something fell on it from above. You can see it as a bondo patch. The floors are still covered with original carpet (with stainless strip trim at each seating area), but floors seem solid. Trunk area is solid. We had the car running, a year ago, and we actually shifted back and forth in the driveway. It was loud as the exhaust is shot. The car has bucket seats, console and floor shifter. Its pictured with the factory air cleaner, but that is no longer with the car.Has 15 inch Buick "roller" wheels and tires. Original 14 inch wheels are in the trunk. All of the stainless and brushed aluminum panels that make this car the artistic novelty that it is...is all there!Drivers window frame is broken, but I have a new repro for it. Pass door is jammed, I think its a sprung hinge. Definitely repairable.
Car is located in Midpines, CA. 7 miles from Mariposa, 50 miles from Merced, 85 miles from Fresno. Its one mile off the highway, but limited access for semi haulers. If you live far away and you are having the car shipped, I can take the car out to the highway in Midpines, or take it into Mariposa to meet the carrier. I will be available for a limited time only, so pickup must be arranged quickly, and must occur within 14 days of auction close.
