Description

I am offering for sale my 1963 Oldsmobile Super 88 4 dr. sedan. I have lowered the price quite a bit because I would like to sell it by the end of April so it doesn't have to sit outside. The car has 73. 00 original miles on it and has been garage-kept by all 4 owners since new. Purchased new at Ken Garff Oldsmobile in Salt Lake City it has been in Nevada for the past 25 years. Original colors were brown w/white roof and a brown interior. It is now 1966 Chevrolet Lemonwood yellow w/ a grey roof and a black interior. When I changed the color. I did it the correct way. I completely disassembled the car. to include the firewall. As you can see by the photos and the list of work I performed on this car. I had planned to keep it. Sadly. I recently lost my indoor storage and I must now have to part with a couple of my vehicles. Every part which was removed was detailed prior to reassembly to include all nuts. bolts. clips. etc. The trunk and floorboards were perfect. all glass is nice and the windows roll up and down the way they should. Gauges. horn. wipers and radio works properly. The following is a list of what I have done to the car. FRONT SUSPENTION REBUILD. New ball joints. tie rod ends. idler arm. "A" frame bushings and front end alignment. Custom built disc brakes on the front. new brake booster . master cylinder w/ proportioning valve and new rear brakes and wheel cylinders. New radial tires and 15" rally wheels. Engine has been recently tuned up. also hoses and belts have been changed. New battery and the automatic transmission has been serviced. New halogen headlamps. LED tail lights and all new dash lights and interior lights. BODY. Completely stripped. only minor body work was needed. epoxy primer. sealer and single stage Dupont paint. Front clip was removed and painted in pieces. All chrome removed. cleaned and detailed. all was in excellent original condition. New rear bumper (original had a small dent). New tail light chrome trim. new underhood insulation. Also. All new weatherstripping to include. 4 doors. trunk. windshield and rear window. INTERIOR. Floors primered. dynamat installed on floors. New dash pad. had real wood milled and installed it on the dash. all gauges cleaned and new bulbs installed. new carpeting. new door panels built and the seats recovered with cloth and vinyl . new sill plates. new rear package tray and the headliner was redyed. New am/fm/cd player with speakers (installed hidden in the ash tray). Also power antenna. The trunk is nicely detailed with a carpeted mat. new side panels and the jack and tools restored. The only work which is needed to be done is as follows. The heater motor doesn't operate ( I believe it is a connection problem ). Carb linkage to kickdown needs attention. With the new Edlebrock carb installed. a new linkage had to be fabricated and the trans doesn't shift to second gear when it should. It shifted properly when I had the original carb on it. but that carb leaked bad and so I replaced it. The front bumper is in nice condition but it doesn't quite shine as the new rear one. The spare tire included is the original one and the wheel will not fit to the front disc brakes so a correct one will have to be gotten. With all the work and expense I have into this car. you can see I had all intentions to keep it. Sadly. I have to part with it. With the few minor repairs I have mentioned. this 63 Olds will be a great summer ride for the new caretaker. I have described this vehicle to the best of my knowledge ( and I did most of the work so it's pretty accurate ). If you have any further questions. please contact me and I will get back to you ASAP. This vehicle is 52 year old so naturally I cannot give a warranty on it. The car is about 80 miles from Las Vegas. it has a clear title ready to sign over to its new owner. A $500. 00 deposit is required via paypal and the remainder to be paid by cashiers check. Title will be signed over when the funds have cleared. I will assist the buyer with the shipping but you will have to line one up. I have the car advertised locally. so I reserve the right to cancel this ad if it sells here. Thanks
