Description

Car was purchased on Ebay February of 2012. First is the original ad listing from that time.

ALL PAPERWORK AND DOCUMENTATION ON ANYTHING DONE TO THIS CAR SINCE THE LATE 80'S IS INCLUDED. IT IS A LANSING BUILT CAR THAT WAS REPLICATED TO A W30 IN THE TIME OF LATE 80'S TO EARLY 90'S. NEARLY ALL THE W30 PIECES ARE ORIGINAL GM. THE ENGINE IS A 455 THAT WAS BUILT WITH A W30 CAM, G" HEADS, 30 W&Z EXHAUST MANIFOLDS AND HAS BEEN BALANCED. IT HAS LESS THAN 2500 MILES ON THE BUILD. HE HAD THE BODY PROFESSIONALLY DONE IN 2003 TO INCLUDE A COMPLETE DISASSEMBLY, TRIP, ND REPAINT IN BASECOAT, LEARCOAT PAINT, NCLUDING THE W30 PACKAGE STRIPING, T A COST OF JUST OVER $10000. THE CAR HAS BEEN DRIVEN LESS THAN 500 MILES SINCE THAT TIME. ALL SUSPENSION, NTERIOR, XTERIOR TRIM, TC HAS BEEN REPLACED INCLUDING THE WHITE CONVERTIBLE TOP. IT HAS A MUNCIE 4 SPEED TRANSMISSION COUPLED TO AN EXTREMELY RARE "TO" CODE 3:91 12 BOLT POSITRAC REAREND. A W27 FINNED ALUMINUM REAREND COVER IS IN PLACE, S IS THE W25 OAI RAM AIR HOOD, IBERGLASS OVER METAL WITH THEUNDERSIDE SCREEN,WITH CORRECT AIR CLEANER ASSEMBLY, 35 REAR DECK SPOILER,AND THE SUPER COOL FRONT PLASTIC RED INNER FENDERS. IT HAS THE HEAVY DUTY COOLING PACKAGE, D SUSPENSION PACKAGE THAT INCLUDES FRONT AND REAR SWAY BARS AS WELL AS BOXED REAR LOWER CONTROL ARMS. IT HAS ALUMINIZED EXHAUST WITH FLOWMASTER MUFFLERS THAT GO TO THE TRUMPET STYLE EXHAUST TIPS IN THE CORRECT CUT OUT REAR BUMPER. DUAL SPORT MIRRORS, SPEED CONSOLE, PORT STEERING WHEEL, OWER STEERING, OWER DISC BRAKES, ND A RARE AM/FM RADIO ROUND OUT THE PACKAGE. THE CAR IS AS NICE UNDERNEATH AS THE REST OF THE CAR WITH NO UNDERCOATING TO HIDE ANYTHING. THERE WERE ONLY 264 W30 CONVERTIBLES BUILT IN 1970, ND ONLY 96 OF THOSE WERE 4 SPEEDS. YOU CAN OWN THIS CAR FOR A FRACTION OF AN ORIGINAL AND BE ABLE TO ENJOY IT. IT NEEDS NOTHING. MOST REPLICAS ARE NEVER DONE TO THE DEGREE THAT THIS CAR IS, AINLY BECAUSE THE PARTS ARE SO VERY EXPENSIVE NOW TO DO THIS TYPE OF RESTORATION. ANY QUESTIONS, LEASE ASK. YOU ARE WELCOME TO COME VIEW THE CAR ANYTIME DURING THE AUCTION. I CAN HELP ARRANGE SHIPPING AT YOUR EXPENSE. THIS IS AN EXTREMELY NICE CAR THAT WAS PROFESSIONALLY BUILT.

I have driven the car about 3,000 miles since that time. It is always covered and garage kept never in the rain or snow. I just put new tires (running 14's) on the car in April. Old ones were eleven years old and had to go. I also installed a Griffin aluminum radiator last year. Radiator that came with the car will be included with the car. The car has killer looks and sounds incredible with the W-30 cam. Not loud, ust quietly mean. Blue interior really sets the car off. I pretty much drive like an old guy but this car can hit it. Lots of thumbs up. Contact me (Frank) with any questions. I'm going on 70 and just have too much stuff.

To answer a few questions: New (Interstate) battery last year; Car driven to shows and cruises and has won 11 trophies in the 3 years I've owned it; Has never been in the rain so I'm sure the wiper rubber blades need replaced; Car is not great on fuel economy; Car takes no special fuel save premium gas; Striping is DARK BLUE and not black - The OLDS club guys told me that was a "GIG" so I never joined; Bumpers are fine; Car has seat belts; Gas tank filler is behind the license plate; 391 gears means you could put this car in 4th and hardly ever shift - it is very powerful; seats move, et and fold correctly; radiator that was replaced is here and comes with the car if you want it - it has been boiled clean; car was aligned last October; No tic toc clock but built in tach; Car is an absolute pleasure to drive. No squeaks and rattles. Tight.

My friend ows a Ziebart. Two years ago we put on the Diamond Gloss polymer finish. Eliminates waxing and the car gleams in the Sun. If the car sells I'll have it professionally detailed there (Ziebart) and it will also come with a full tank of gas.
