Description

1965 Oldsmobile F-85 Cutlass Holiday 2 Door Hardtop330 CID Engine / 315 HP
This Cutlass is a great platform for a full restoration or hot rod project. It is in overall very original condition with the exception of the brand new American Racing Torque Thrust Wheels and new Hankook tires. The body lines and overall look of this model year is awesome. If you're an Olds enthusiast I know you agree! It has a true American Muscle look and stance. The paint, nterior, nd drivetrain appear to be original to the car. The car was sold to it's orginal owner in Cardston, lberta, anada on December 31, 964. The original owner's name, ccording to the owner's manual, as Lottie and it would seem she took pretty good care of the car considering it's present condition. The odometer shows 13,748 miles but doens't allow for a 6th digit… considering the overall condition of the car and engine I would say it's probably a 113,748 mile car but I have no way to confirm that. The original owner's manuals (pictured) are included with the sale of the car.
The car runs and drives but the carburator needs attention as it seems to be gummed up from sitting for some time. With a little shot of starter fluid the engine fires right up and runs very smooth with no knocking, inging, r smoking. The transmission shifts smooth as it should. It doesn't appear to be leaking any oil but it is leaking a bit of transmission fluid. She could use some new shocks. The brakes work as they should and the exhaust is in great shape.
The undercarriage is exceptionally solid including the floorpans and frame rails. The only "rot" on the car is found in the outter trunk pan where the rear quarters meet. Aside from that there is only minimal surface rust, ut no rot or rust holes. I have a lot of pictures showing the undercarriage and other areas of the car but do to the limited number of pictures ebay allows I couldn't fit them in the listing. If you're a serious buyer I'm happy to email additional photos of whatever it is you'd like to see.
All of the original trim is present on the car with the exception of the "O-L-D-S-M-O-B-I-L-E" letters on the trunk deck and the "Cutlass" emblem on the rear tailight area. The glass is in awesome shape and also appears original with it's factory green tint. It's equipped with front and rear power windows which is pretty cool. The body lines and gaps are nice and straight. The front left bumper appears to have been bumped as well as the rear bumper near the center. Both "bumps" could be easily straightened by a bumper repair tech.
The interior, or it's age, s in pretty good shape. Both front seats have some splitting and the top of the drivers seat is worn though the vinyl. Both seats would need recovering. The dash pad has a couple cracks as well. The rear deck panel needs replacing. The headliner is intact and the back seat is in great shape. The carpet is intact and in good shape. The dash looks amazing and has not been cut or altered. It even has the original AM radio. The guage cluster is clear and clean.
I've done my best to accurately describe the car, oth it's good points and areas that need attention. Again, have additional photos that I can email and if there's something you want to see that I don't have a picture for I will take the photo you request. If you have any questions please ask before bidding. I'm happy to discuss the car on the phone with serious buyers. Shipping is the responsibility of the buyer but I will do all I can on my end to make sure things go smoothly with your shipper. The car is driveable and can be loaded on a trailer. I do not recommend flying in and driving it home, t needs to be gone through to be road worthy. It goes without saying, ut I'll say it anyway, he car is being sold as is with no warranties expressed or implied. I reserve the right to end the auction at any time for any reason. Reserve is set very fair for what the car is and it's current condition. I'm open to fair and reasonable offers and I'm willing to end the auction early if a fair price is agreed on.
Cheers!
