Rare 1971 Opel 1900
VEHICLE HISTORY: I purchased this Opel 1900 in 2013 hoping to do a restoration. It was to be a surprise for my wife, who got an identical car when she graduated from college in the 1971. Unfortunately, the project never got off the ground, and it’s time for a new sympathetic owner to complete. It was a California car since new, but sat for a number of years outside before being made “slightly” drivable in 2013. It was a factory air conditioned car and all the components are included with the car.

VEHICLE CONDITION: The paint is faded. The interior is deteriorated. The body is very solid with the exception of a crease/tear on top of the right rear quarter. The front valance appears to have been replaced at some point. The underneath is very solid with only a little surface rust. The brakes don’t work, but the parking brake does. The engine starts and runs, and I’ve moved it around the parking lot, but it is not road worthy. It has a manual choke installed in the engine compartment, and a separate toggle switch under the dash to turn on the ignition. The automatic transmission works well enough to move around. The dash is cracked. All the gauges are intact, but not necessarily working. The 165/80R13 tires and battery were new in 2013 before I bought it.
INCLUDED WITH PURCHASE: Workshop Manuals, Chilton’s Repair & Tuning Guide, GM Opel Catalogs, 3 Boxes of Parts (incl. AC Components).
