Offered here for sale is a lovely old 1973 Jensen Interceptor III currently owned by former Ferrari F1 driver Eddie Irvine.
Chassis number 140-8961 was born on August 1973 and finished in the very rare paint colour of Copper Brown. According to the Interceptor Guru Richard Calver it was first sold to a Arthur Samuelof Burlingame, alifornia. The second owner Robert Mann of San Mateo, alifornia would own the car from February 1977 up until 2012, here he would take it with him to Phoenix in the 1990's. Lots of records show his continued love for his Jensen.
The car showed up on ebay June 2013 offered by an Arizona dealer with 77,600 milesand that's when Eddie bought it. The car was shipped to Miami where it was driven occasionally until the exhausts failed, hen thecar sat in his garage for about a year until he asked me to take care of it. In April 2015 it arrived in Los Angeles where I proceeded to have a tinker. The front brakes were partially seized with warped rotors, o I took care of that, hen I had both exhaust boxes replaced, eplaced the cooling fans with bigger 2-speed motors, replaced some interior trim, epaired the AC and then had a good old generalfettle and then enjoyed the hell out the car at various car shows. One of them being in procession at George Barris' final cruise.
I was featured in USA Todaywith the car http://www.usatoday.com/videos/money/cars/2015/05/09/70909400/#
