Description

This is a 1964 Austin Healy Sprite with a Bugeye bonnet. This gives you the look of the 59-60 bugeye only with a trunk and roll up windows. I picked up a 1970 parts car. The parts car had a very low mileage 1275 motor. I opened up the motor and inspected it. It has a standard bore with no noticeable wear on bore or on crank . I shaved about .005" off the head, and lapped the valves and resealed the engine. This includes double parts on just about everything (due to the parts car). It has 2 rear ends, wire wheels, transmissions etc. I sold a few parts that were not useable for this project (1098 motor, enders, ood). It also includes lots of new parts. New chrome grille, ew top, ew tonneau cover, ew floor mats, ew chorme air cleaners, rebuild and resleeved dual master cylinder. I striped the cars down and stored the parts. The bugeye bonnet will need some metal work including a few patch pannels. These bugeye bonnets are getting very difficult to find. It has a clear title with non-op and plates. I may end the auction early as I am also advertizing this elsewhere.
