Description

1954 Hudson Wasp Club Sedan

A rare Hudson Stepdown built during the last year as an independent car manufacturer. This vehicle is complete with all trim. This is a restoration project car. It is being sold as is and without any warranty. The original 232 cubic inch flat head six engine is free and turns freely with the starter albeit is not running. A 3 speed overdrive with all electrical components backs the engine. A start at making this vehicle roadworthy includes the following actions and installations. Rear brake drums removed trued with a brake lathe and arched to new shoes. Left and right rear brake systems have been renewed with shoes, cylinders, attaching parts and the brake hose feeding them replaced. The front brakes have new shoes; brake drums (also arched) cylinders, hardware and hoses. The master cylinder is new and the fluid system has been bled, with the brakes operational. The fuel tank has been removed, cleaned and sealed. A new 6 volt electric fuel pump with filter is installed inline at the output of the tank. The engine has a HUDSON TWIN H induction with newly rebuilt carburetors installed and dry air cleaners. Radial tires with ZERO miles are mounted on all four corners. Doors and trunk have recently installed rubber door seals. This is a complete car with unique pieces installed or included. The seller reserves the right to end this sale at anytime. Price $4500,

Update 14 June 2016

Several potential buyers have called or left email questions about this car. Most of the questions ask... does the car run and drive. The answer is no. The car sat for a decade or more and when I recieved it, I cleaned the oil pan and replaced the oil. The engine is free and turns easily, but there is low compression on all cylinders. I suspect that there are stuck rings and potentially stuck valves. The head and valve panels have not been removed to confirm either condition. Correcting the compression problem will undoubtably allow the engine to start allowing the cat to be driven. Thank you for your interest.
