Description

Stunning 1969 Rover 2000, beautifully restored and a joy to drive. Very few of these cars exist in the U.S., this car originally coming from Holland and being first registered on 27th February 1969. These cars were incredibly advanced in their day, featuring an advanced 1978cc overhead cam engine, 4 wheel disc brakes, De Dion tube suspension and a unibody design with non-stressed bolt on body panels. The interior was designed to be sporty, the stubby gearchange adding to the feel. The switches are all differently shaped for better ergonomics, in the dark just touching the switches tell you what they do. The paintwork on the car is gleaming, the interior is original and beautifully preserved. Driving is a real pleasure, the character is sporty, the engine happy to rev, yet still having good torque. A very relaxed highway cruiser. Handling is excellent, the car hugs the road and achieves a great ride quality. The 4 disc brakes stop the car with confidence. The title is clear and in my name.There is a little play in the gearchange linkage, a very small area above the filler cap has been touched in, too small to photograph. The car is for sale as I am reducing my collection.I can assist with shipping, the cost to the buyer.The car is sold as is and where is,there isno warranty real or implied.
