1926 FLINT JUNIOR DEPOT HACK UP FOR CONSIDERATION IS AN EXTREMELY UNIQUE AND RARE AUTOMOBILE MADE BY THE DURANT MOTOR COMPANY. IT IS BELIEVED TO BE A ONE OF A KIND CAR. THERE IS NO EVIDENCE THAT THERE WAS ANY OTHER BODY ON THIS CAR OTHER THAN THIS ONE. ALL BOLT HOLES MATCH AND HARDWARE IS PERIOD CORRECT. THE WOOD IS IN EXCELLENT CONDITION WITH NO ROT AND ALL DOORS OPEN AND CLOSE AS THEY SHOULD. Even has an original Bud Vase! IT IS POWERED BY A CONTINENTAL SIX CYLINDER FLATHEAD ENGINE AND A 3 SPEED MANUAL TRANSMISSION. Cruises nicely at 30-40MPH Clear side curtains missing but hardware to hold still intact on wood body. Runs . drives and stops well for a car with mechanical brakes. Current owner purchased automobile in 2006. Over $8000 was spent on improvements such as paint and mechanical work done by a member of the Durant Motor Club in Riverhead NY. (Have receipts) All the seats have also been recovered professionally. No cracks in windshield or side glass! Newer 6 volt battery and Zenith carburator . All gauges and lights work except for gas guage (use a stick to check fuel level) New Coker BF Goodrich tires and tubes installed in March 2014.
