Getting tired of seeing nothing but "restored". junk. modified. restorod. unoriginal or rusty cars for sale? Well here is a special one - It is an unrestored original survivor with only 8186 miles. As of this writing Hagertys classic car values list the value for the 1975 Bricklin at $8000 low and $33300 high. Condition #2 is listed at $27. 00. condition #3 is listed at $14. 00. This car is closer to condition #2 plus the low mileage. I will answer all email questions. GENERAL DESCRIPTION: An extremely attractive survivor sports car. this 1975 Bricklin is the 2nd to the last one manufactured in 1975. It is an unrestored original survivor with a total of 8186 miles and some of those miles were put on while it was being towed behind a class A motor home by the original owner. You can see the professionally installed and hardly visible tow brackets welded up under the front of the car in one photo. The finish is the original safety Suntan color from the factory and has never been painted or repainted with the exception of the small T area right on the top. It is a matching numbers Georgia car with a clear Georgia title. The former owner was a member of the International Bricklin Owners Association and had the door opening system professionally converted to the modern electric air compressor system. Some people think because this is a fiberglass car they do not rust - that is untrue. There are many parts on the car that are steel and are very prone to rust. Some Bricklins that are put up for sale will not show any photos of the underside because of their rust problems. This car has NO rust and still has factory labels. dot stickers and hand markings everywhere you look. It was stored for many years in a heated garage and was only driven 20 miles since 2000 but it was regularly started and warmed up over the years. It is difficult to find any 40 year old car in this kind of condition and with low mileage. The Bricklins are classy V8 sports cars with gull wing doors and are undervalued but the prices have been climbing. This car will last for many years and will do nothing but appreciate in value. ENGINE: Original matching numbers Ford 351 Windsor V8 engine. Starts and runs excellent. No smoke. no noises. Oil pressure is at the top of the gauge even when warm. Can't get any better. Previous owner had an Edelbrock alloy aluminum Streetmaster 351 Windsor manifold with a Holley 4 barrel carburetor professionally installed shortly after the car was delivered to him. TRANSMISSION: Original matching numbers Ford FMX automatic transmission. Works perfectly. No noises. No problems. ENGINE COMPARTMENT: Extremely nice. straight. solid and sanitary. Well maintained. REAR COMPARTMENT: Extremely nice. attractive and original. EXTERIOR: Extremely solid. No accident damage. All the glass windows and windshield are perfect with no damage or scratches. The doors operate fine - they open and shut quickly and silently with the new electric air conversion. I purchased new latches but they have not been installed because they. and the doors need to be adjusted by someone who knows how to adjust them to latch and close correctly. So for now the doors do not lock completely shut. PAINT: Has the original factory finish. It has never been painted with the exception of the small "T" area right on the top. The drivers door and the front nose are slightly off color from general age/fading. which was common on Bricklins. The small "T" area (shown in a photo) has a couple of strips where some paint was lifted off. The previous owner had sealed the doors with masking tape when it was in storage and when we pulled the tape off in this area some of the paint came with it - easily spotted in. This finish/fiberglass is now 40 years old and it has a few normal minor scratches. nicks and hairline cracks in isolated areas. CHASSIS: The frame and complete underside of the car are perfect. Excellent rust free undamaged condition. No repairs - straight and original. INTERIOR: A beautiful unworn interior - what one would expect with a low mileage car. New correct Bricklin carpeting was installed recently because the original carpeting had been eaten by some small critters while in storage. DASH AREA: The dash is completely original with all of the original gauges. Everything works. all gauges work. all lights work. Turn signals. rear defogger. horns. lights. wipers. washers. hazard lights. amfm radio. air conditioning. headlights. taillights. alternator. temperature gauge. alternator gauge - all work. Clock does not work. Gas gauge works but reads full all the time - probably needs a new sending unit - which would be Ford or AMC. The part number is SF3225905 and can be purchased from any Bricklin parts/repair house. UPHOLSTERY: Beautiful original Buckskin upholstery. The passenger seat has one small tear and the console also has one small tear near the shift quadrant - both shown in the photos. AIR CONDITIONING: Excellent - works perfectly and blows ice cold air. Still uses the original cold R22 Freon. TIRES & WHEELS: All alloy wheels are original to the car and are perfect. All of the tires were recently installed brand new. They are the proper period correct BF Goodrich T/A Radials P235/60R15 - still had the stickers on them when the photos were taken this week. The original BFG T/A Radial tires were removed because of age cracking - they are still here and can go with the car if desired. They obviously are only 8000 mile tires. EXHAUST: Original factory exhaust is excellent with most of most of the factory galvanized finish still intact. SUSPENSION AND BRAKES: Suspension is all original and in excellent condition. Brakes are also excellent - the master cylinder and rear wheel cylinders having been replaced recently. PAPERWORK: A clear Georgia title and a bill of sale from the last owner goes with the car. FACTORY ID PLATE: The original ID plates are all very nice and unmodified. The vehicle serial number is C0051BX5S002878. REVIEW: An extremely attractive sports car survivor. It is difficult to find any 40 year old car in this kind of condition anymore with such low mileage. A car that will last for many years and can do nothing but appreciate in value. These cars have been undervalued but are now moving up and are poised for high percentage gains. INSPECTION OF CAR: As always. it is difficult at best to describe something as complex as a vehicle and it is highly recommended that you personally inspect the car or have a 3rd party inspect it for you. I can accomodate anyone to show them the car. It is described to the best of my ability along with many good photos but it is the bidders ultimate responsibility to ensure that what he thinks he is getting is indeed one in the same and something he will be happy with.
