1963 TVR Grantura MK3

Faded red paint with an old black vinyl interior (interior mostly original)

Very rare original and complete early TVR Grantura. Less than 100 of the Grantura MK IIIs were built and few originals remain. This is the first TVR to uses a double wishbone suspension on it's tubular steel chassis. This is the same chassis as used on the Griffith V8 produced from 1964-1966. This is an early MK III which had the earlier style dash early style rear body and the 1622cc MGA engine and transmission.

Only one repaint in the 60's very old paint has extreme "patina" and could be wet sanded and buffed for more shine. Period type racing stripe

All fiberglass body and very lightweight approximately 1680 pounds. Would make an excellent basis for a vintage race car.

Runs and drives very well ready to drive and enjoy "as-is".

Original MGA 1622 cc engine runs great with excellent oil pressure and no smoke

New Spax adjustable shocks on the rear

Stainless steel exhaust system

Old periodalloy "bullet" mirror

Knock off wire wheels

Original aluminum bumpers

Original interior (shows some age) needs headliner and carpet

Has all of the original gauges and switches with an extra dash mounted clock and dash mounted horn button

This TVR has the fiberglass body bonded to the tubular steel chassis. As in many early TVRs there is some rust in some of the rear outboard tubes. Holes in the rear bopdywork were from where a luggage rack was once mounted.

Odometer reads 46500 miles but title reads "EXEMPT" because vehicle is over 10 years old

Includes a copy of the Grantura owner's manual printed by the TVR Club of North America
