Description

You are looking at an Reconditioned 1957 King Midget Micro Car Model III with an S-12D Wisconsin Engine. This beauty has 13511 original miles and spent most of it's life on a farm. These were made by King Midget Motors in Athens Ohio.

Below is a video collection of the vehicle:

Please scroll down and enjoy the 250+ photos. If you cannot view all the photos please click here.

It features the S-12D 12.5HP Wisconsin engine that was replaced in 1969. The body is completely solid with no bondo or other filler. The floor was professionally replaced. There were upgrades performed such as 12 volt electrical system all new wiring as well as the starter solenoid battery and voltage regulator.

The original doors extra windshield gasket and convertible top and bows are included as well. It is titled in our name as a 1957 King Midget with current registration.

Overall this car is in good condition. The vehicle runs and drives but needs tires checked oil changed air cleaner and general safety before use. These were never meant for extended use and should be considered a parade or novelty vehicle as with all King Midget and other vehicles of this vintage. The windshield has a small crack as shown.

Mechanically this vehicle runs well but probably could use a tune up. It does need a new air cleaner element as the original one deteriorated with age. The transmission shifts as it should in forward and reverse although it can be hard to shift at times. It steers / turns stops fairly well considering what it is. The headlights and directional work well.

Cosmetically it is in great shape but the paint job is semi-professional. The good news is it looks great runs well and is 100% solid.

We cannot warranty any parts and as with any vintage vehicle they are always a project in some way. Please note this before bidding if you are looking for a vehicle that will operate like a new vehicle. Collector cars are many times tempermental and reliability can be a factor on some. We also did not test each accessory or feature and only drove the vehicle for a short distance. Also note there are marks and dings from use and age.

Any of these should be trailered to their destination until the vehicle is checked over for safety (tires etc). The title is free and clear and we are also requiring a bill of sale be signed by the new owner stating this micro car is being purchased as-is.

It is a straight car as you can see in the photos and would be great for that summer parade. The colors are great and it is very old school. As stated it gets a ton of attention and would make a great addition to your King Midget parade or novelty vehicle collection.
