1953 Dodge B1-B Job-Rated

NO RESERVE Thanks for checking out "Clarence" my 1953 Dodge B1-B pickup. These are great trucks you don't see these often they are pretty rare actually these days especially when it comes to 40's - 50's trucks. I love an old Chevy or Ford but everytime you go to a car show it is flooded with those trucks its like seeing a Camaro or 57 Chevy neat cars but everyone has one I just walk on by rarely will you see a Dodge pickup it is refreshing to see a Mopar truck very unique and interesting. I love the rarer cars things you don't see often some people will sometimes ask me what kind of truck is that they have to look at the badging to tell. Honesty when was the last time you seen one of these trucks out and about probably not that often. I did some research and it is fun to watch some of the old commercials on youtube of the Job-Rated Dodge trucks if you have time watch a few Dodge was making huge efforts to compete in the market. When Dodge came out with the new body style of the Dodge Ram in 1994 it was modeled after these trucks. This truck will make a great little farm truck vintage gas station truck I can see the Sinclair Dino on the door or Flying A theme this will make a great conversation piece for your business and yes perfect to take the grand kids out in for a parade and ice cream. Please check out the photos Clarence is a solid truck mechanically he is very sound. Give me a call if you want to discuss it more. Thanks Jason 503-910-2085 Mechanically it is in pretty good shape. The engine runs great believe it is original to the truck T306*159615 (T306=1951-1953 Truck Flat Head 6 159615 Engine Unit Number). Previous owner had the Engine rebuilt it runs like sewing machine. Engine is very clean and looks nice. There is normal engine oil residue but no major oil leaks etc. Theseengines are very good runners very dependableand have plenty of power. It does notsmoke or burn oilexhaust is clean. The transmission is a standard manual 3psd on the column which is great if you are going to carry 2 other passengers. The transmission shifts nice clutch feels good no driveline or rear end noise. It shifts nicely does not pop out of gearreverse works well. No transmission noise sounds nice and tight. The rearend feels good no slop in it or howl. The exhaust is in good shape no holes sounds great. The brakes work very good and do notpull truck stops nice and straight. The suspension is all stock and I don't think it has ever been rebuilt so it wonders a little bit when you drive it it does drive like your typical vintage farm truck but it will give you a smile on your face every time you pull it in tothe local cruise-in. As you can see from the engine compartment it isoriginal looking and very stock. Just general maintenance items through the years. It has a neatvintage Fire extinguisher under the hood. The Engine starts right up and sounds great it does have a choke on the dash. The engine isa strong runner. The tires are in nice shape nice tread around 95%Nylon 6.60X16LT a true truck tire LT. It has been upgraded with 2" Atlas Portowalls if you want to take them off and run black walls easy to remove if you chose. Overall mechanically the truck seems to be in good shape.

Interior is in great shape. The seat has been recovered a few years ago shows a littlewear but in nice shape door panels are nice. The truck has a headliner in itin nice shape could use a little tightening. Overall the interior is pretty clean this is something that I for sure would take my wife out on a date in it is notdirty inside very clean for a truck that has been driven and enjoyed. The cowl vent does work opens and closes. Very nice looking inside and very comfortable to ride in. Non Smoker very pleasant. Dome light works interior lights all the exterior lights on thetruck. The glass is in nice shape as well no cracks or chips. Thedoor glass rolls down nicely also notice that the wing windowdoes not a inside frame so when you open it there is lots ofopenness to the whole door window. The gauges are working odometer reads 97225 speedometer works as well. The only gauge not currently working is the gas gauge well have a look at itand see what is wrong with it maybebe able to fix it maybe not. The temp gauge heater blow works wipers work as well. It has a chokepull works the throttlepull on dash does not work. To start it you turn the key on andabove the gas pedal there is a push button hit it with your toe and it fires right up. Overall a great looking interior. The bed is in excellent condition restored the correct way correct hardware upgraded with polished stainless. This is not a cheap bed to put it if you were to have a shop install one like this it would run about $1500. The bed is 15 years old as well but it has stayed indoors and in nice condition.

It has been repainted about 15 years ago. No signs of any current rust on it no bubble's bottoms of the doors cab and cowl all look to be in very nice shape. This is a truck that you can take in parades use at the local farmers market put your business logo on and enjoy at the local cruise-ins. This truck was not built to be a show truck though you will be able to show it and enjoy it for sure. What I mean by this the body work is not perfect it is a little wavy the paintwork is okay more of an amatuer respray but they tried to do a nice job. If they would have spent a little more time blocking it out and taking a little bit more time prepping it would be better but for what the truck is it is very nice. There are various chips and small scratches that have been touched up. If you are looking for a $30-40K truck this is not it. If you are looking for a clean and very useful Vintage Dodge truck that you enjoy and drive then this is your truck. If you want to have it repainted one day and make it a show truck you can surely do that down the road. Inside the fenders front and rear are very solid not all wavy they look accident free. The inner fender wells are in good shape. The cab is in very good shape no rust no signs of major repairs. The floors look very good no rust. The undercarriage of this Dodge is very clean and nice looking. The frame is excellent no pitting on it no repairs nice looking. Overall the truck is sound and a very good driver. You will probably just leave it the way it is and just drive it and enjoy it. I would take it to any car show or cruise in any day of the week it does show well and yes it is one rare piece of Mopar Machinery.
