Description

I've owned this car since 1994. I was the third owner, ought it with 31,000 miles on it from retired Navy mechanic in Corpus Christi. It's been my daily driver. It was repainted in 2007 by Fine Lines Automotive in San Antonio, ll chrome removed, anded, actor colors re-applied. Has had one small fender-bender since then, ine Lines did the repair and paint match. All other work has been done by Olmos Auto Tech -- if something is a problem, have it fixed.
163,171 miles on it now. Fine Lines also put in a crate motor at 148,000 miles in 2007. Also had the stock seat covers replaced with leather in the same pattern in 2007. Everything on the car is stock except for the transmission. When the third stock transmission failed after less than 5,000 miles, had the rebuilder put in a stronger, ater model one. As a result the speedometer reads about 10 mph slow (says 55, ou're doing about 65). I have not looked into whether than can be fixed by changing something in the transmission. Everything works right now with the exception of the cruise control and the windshield washers -- have not tried to fix either but I suspect both are something relatively simple. It's a California car and so has a smog pump -- that froze up about six months ago and I just cut the belt and have not replaced it, ince even a rebuilt one is fairly expensive.
AC has been converted to 134 Freon with a new compressor by Carlisle AC in San Antonio, bout 6 or 7 years ago -- blows cold. Brakes were redone 4-5 years ago. Tires are a couple of years old with very little mileage on them.
As you will see from this pictures, his is a very clean car. I would not hesitate to drive it anywhere. It has been driven mostly local, ith occasional trips to Austin and Galveston in the last few years. It's not a show car, lthough it could easily be made into one.
