A Rare Find—1926 Packard Single Six
This fully restored (frame off) Packard is rarer than hen's teeth! Our '26 Packard is the convertible coupe (yes with rumble seat) Single Six model. Rare because so few were made; rare because only a handful are believed to have survived; and rare because this one looks and runs like new!
Great Looking
• Paint and Chrome
The first thing that jumps out about this Packard is the quality of the dark blue light blue and black three-tone paint combination. The paint is a 9+ on a scale of 10 and it all looks fresh.
The chrome trim is in very good to excellent condition without any pitting or fuzziness.
• Interior
The interior upholstery is in extremely nice condition from the leather seats the leather rumble seat and the door panels. The convertible top and the rear window look like new.
The dash surfaces and all of the instruments are in excellent cosmetic and working condition as well.
The rumble seat compartment complete with golf door has been refinished and the step pads enabling a passenger to enter/exit are pristine.
• Engine
This model is known as the Single Six [Packard made both a 12 cylinder and 6 cylinder engine at the time] and the engine starts right up and runs properly. The detailed engine sits in an equally nicely detailed engine bay.
• Transmission
The three-speed transmission shifts properly and goes readily into both the forward as well as reverse gears.
• Brakes/Wheels/Tires
This car has full steel wheels mounted with virtually new-looking tires.
An Excellent Example of a Rare Packard Convertible
Pre-war Packard convertibles are difficult to find in good condition but finding excellent Twenties-vintage Packards is almost impossible. If you are in the market for an outstanding classic this is a must-see car from both a rarity and a value perspective. You are unlikely to find another one of this quality outside the Packard museum.
