Description

Try to take a project to this car's level. The end cost/contractor aggrivationwould be far greater than this one is selling for {-& time is passing faster than a speeding Packard-sunrise or sunset or moonlight in a Packard convertible, opless>>only way to go, usic playing; on a hill far away; moments to be alive }. And, f you're watching any of the other Packard convertiblesfor lower pricing, hey won't be lower than mine, ow, r ever(starting bids are just that; easy to see where they will go on their max prices).

(a Carribean project is mentioned at end of this listing). I also have a 1955 Carribean convertible, unning/driving/mostly original accept for paint, nbsp;but have not made up my mind to sell

PRODUCTION #'s: this body style-1,518 out of 71,079.

This Packard: The Previous two owners had it the last approximately, 5 years (one-30 years; other-five+. I'd have to go back through the many receiptsfor exact details.First of these two had the motor rebuilt in the last year of his ownership (2008).

Power steering, rakes, op, ntenna///REBUILT motor.

OWN IT FOR $25,500 *without the seats done*. I prefer to sell to a "first" time Packard owner type that would appreciate this perfect unrestored rendition. You're buying a taken care of, OT barn find, xample. Once the seats arerecovered, t is ready to enjoy (seats can be taken to your local shop for recovering without the car; 15 minutes required toremove). Temporary seat covers are on (the original leather was taken off the bottom seat & saved for pattern needs).

Ya can hardly hear it run (it will start in 3 seconds at cold or running temperature)! Thats how good it is.

This isa classic with very low rust, fficiently working top, ebuiltoriginal motor, mooth auto trans, the ORIGINAL interior door & back panels not needed to bedone, tarts faster than a modern car, uieter than one, ome important power options, etter than driver condition, tc, tc. This price is what they're paying forunrestored, ardtop sedans!

****NEW Battery & terminals installed8/24/2015. *****Top works perfectly & correct with the new battery. Top original hydraulic operation has no glitches orunexpected slowness (the motor & pump can be seen in engine compartment picture). Two new gas filters installed 8/26/15 (replacing one between tank & fuel pump & one between fuel pump & carburetor; transparent filters to replace old metal no see filters).

Starts, ccelerates, amp; shifts quietly. Still starts with gas pedal push & has the original old fashioned 6volt battery; positive ground. Starting is so easy the 6 volts doesn't seem to strain.

Body & Paint: solid body metals in floors & trunk (as able to see from underneath). Some bondo used on rocker in front of driver side rear wheel.Splash fender areas & wells are rustfree. The repaint is a nice job with almost no blemishes (definitely no bubbles, racking,or pops). See the added top down/windows up picture. Allthe glass is perfect as well as chrome-stainless framings. Windows roll up/down great; fairly snug up against top rubber seals. Vent windows open easy & close tight. Doors close nicely with hardly any effort & have good allignments with NO drops. No rust at the bottoms or skins.

Interior & top: This has a power top with the original motorized hydraulic pump. The top material is as pictured needing a small repair & a plastic window replace. Top clamps nicely with very little effort. The windshield header is chrome perfect; no dents or rust. Sunvisors are in niceconditions.

Engine: A straight eight originalREBUILT flatheadmotor. Smooth operation, o oil smoke, ot overheat & no valve tapping.

Transmission: Original Automatic-shifts as if it is 10 years old; not 62.

Stability: Stays fairly true on road, ut does havesteering wheel play, ut may be simply the power steering* yes, ower steering! The power brakes seem very safe

Gauges:These are working-gas, harge, dded oil pressure & temperature are mounted below dash.Back-uplights do not work. All other lights, orn, eater blower motor, peedometer, ower antennawork. Heater is hooked up .

POWER OPTIONS: STEERING, RAKES, OP, amp; ANTENNA (THE ORIGINAL RADIO IS NOT WORKING AT THIS MOMENT IN TIME).
