Description

1941 Packard Restomod Coupe LOCATED IN REDONDO BEACH, ALIFORNIA. This 1941 Packard 110 Coupe underwent a full no-expense-spared restoration with upgrades approximately 5 years ago. Work done included: Mechanicals: • Installed new GM 350 small block V8 engine. • Installed new GM 4L60E 4-speed automatic transmission mated to 9 inch rear-end. (Clutch pedal left in-place for a stock look inside.) • Upgraded electricals to 12 volt. Alternator. All gauges converted to 12 volt and register accurately. • Cruise Control. • Installed power front disc brakes. • Installed Power steering. Exterior: • Stripped body to bare metal. Paint with base/clear finish in correct 1941 combination of "Packard Maroon" and "Silver French Gray." • All chrome trim re-plated to show quality. All stainless polished. • Turn signals and driving lights added. • Fitted with radial white wall tires on original Packard rims. Interior: • New full leather interior sewn in correct style. New carpets and headliner. • New glass throughout. • New plastic dashboard trim. • New, orrect woodgraining of all interior moldings and dashboard • "Bear Claw" door latches with power door locks including remote and alarm system. • Power windows actuated by the original window crank handles. • AIR CONDITIONING: Modern system integrated front and rear with original Packard switch and Packard rear package shelf vents. (Condenser in trunk.) Blows ice cold. • AM/FM/stereo with hidden SIRIUS XM receiver and 6 disc CD changer with remote hidden in driver's sun visor. No expense was spared on this build. Over $140,000 was invested and all receipts are available. It is hard to over-stress the quality of this build. It is NOT a "cobbled together" hot rod built in someone's back yard. All work was done by top professionals with an eye toward making the car appear completely stock. The ride height has not been altered. The steering wheel and column are stock Packard. Wheels are stock. All exterior and interior appointments and trim appear original (with the subtle addition of two air conditioning vents below the dash center.) One is hard-pressed to see that anything has been modified. In fact, ecently this car was driven from California to the Classic Car Club Museum's national "Packard Experience" Show at Hickory Corners, ichigan, eaturing the finest Packards from throughout the U.S. and Canada. This car was displayed on the show field next to completely stock Packards and no one in attendance (including Packard "purists") noted this car to be anything but an original 1941 Coupe from all outward and inward appearances. Please see photos. Most importantly, his car drives beautifully. As mentioned above, t was driven from California to Michigan for the CCCA show - a 5,000 mile round-trip - at freeway speeds of 70 MPH+ and it performed flawlessly. Several weeks after returning from Michigan it was driven from Los Angeles on a 1,000+ mile round trip to "Hot August Nights" in Reno where it was displayed among the best rods and customs in the country. Please see video. This car truly offers you the best of both worlds: A stock-appearing Packard that will be welcome for display at shows everywhere; and a truly modern driving and handling road car that can be driven anywhere with complete confidence. It has been enjoyed by the current owner and is only being sold to make room in the garage. As mentioned above, ver $140,000 was spent on this build, one by "the best of the best." It is being offered here for quick sale at a reserve that is a only little over 1/3 of what has been invested. It certainly could not be re-created for the asking price. Please bid accordingly. WE WILL HAPPILY SELL TO BIDDERS, ORLDWIDE. Thanks for looking and GOOD LUCK. If the video link below is inactive, lease go to: https://youtu.be/iC4DlFGmLLg
