Description

This is an untouched mechanically sound and rust free Peugeot 504 Coupe.

This is the very rare V6 "Automatique" model. The engine is a 2.7L V6 engine developing 136hp. The vast majority of 504 Coupes were equipped with a 4-cylinders engine and a manual transmission. Equipped with power steering power disk brakes power windows. It is a 2-owners car with 155000 kilometers. (96400 Miles).

Only 2643 V6 504 Coupés and Cabriolets have been built.

The 504 Coupés and Cabriolets were designed by Pininfarina and never imported in the US by Peugeot.

It is believed that only a dozen 504 Coupés and Cabriolets have made it to this side of the Atlantic. (All motorizations combined).

Nothing beats the look of people looking at you and wondering what you are driving. Real head tuner and discussion starter.

The body is straight and rust free. Some body panels have been repainted but it seems that most of the paint is original. No sign of bondo or indication that the car was ever in an accident. Very good overall presentation with expected paint chips but a very nice shine.

All lights work. The front driver side headlight glass is cracked. I’m in the process of having one shipped to me from France.

All instruments and gauges work except the tachometer. I’ll have one shipped to me also from France.

Interior is in very good condition. Perfect seats and headliner. No crack on dash pad. Very nice door panels and carpet.

Power windows work slowly but they work. The clock works. The emergency brake works.

The engine runs smoothly and quietly. No smoke rattles or hesitation. This 2644cc engine is not totally new in the US since it is the PRV engine that equips the Deloreans.

The car drives very nicely down the road. Very smooth and quiet. Not a performance car by any means but a very classy ride.

The 504 comes with documentation (see pictures) its French license plates a spare wheel and a jack.

The car is titled and registered in Oregon. You are welcome to have it checked or inspected before the end of the auction.

Interesting facts:

- The car comes with a copy of the original French Carte Grise (French "Title"). The "Carte Grise" used to show the owner's profession. This one shows "Retired Engineer".

- This particular 504 has been "borrowed" by Peugeot headquarters for a national show as a perfect example of a survivor car.

- Ebay doesn't allow me to add a link but there's a very nice article in Autoweek about the 405. Type in the key words: Autoweek ride-1975-peugeot-504-v6-cabriolet
