Description

Up for auction is a 1983 Plymouth Reliant True SURVIVOR!. Power steering and brakes. No air, o radio. Kind of a stripper car. Very unique! Bought new by a friend of our family in 1983. This car has only a bit over 14,000 actual miles. All original car. She was handicapped and had steering wheel and brake controls on it. I have removed them. Also she had a lift on the back for her scooter, removed it too. If you want this stuff I'll include it if reserve is met.
Overall the car is in good shape. It has always been garaged. I had the car polished. It looks wonderful. I see no major rust and the car has never been wrecked. On the passenger front bumper she did, owever, atch the garage. See photo. has a handful of dings scratches, ut very minimal. She is a very nice car.
The car is powered by it's 2.2 liter 4 cylinder engine and automatic transmission.
The interior is like new. Never shampooed or cleaned other that vacuuming and windex on the windows. I applied conditioner to the vinyl by rag. Looks awesome! The door sills have some scratches from the braces on her feet and legs. Not real bad. Some of the plastic on the car is cracking. Again nothing terrible.
This car is really all factory. Still has a lot of original engine components such as original plug wires, oil, oses etc. To travel in this car, hese items should be updated. Tires I believe are original too. She caught a few curbs with the white walls but still look nice. The speedometer cable makes noises when it moves. Common I've heard on these. Always starts. Sometimes you have to pump the gas once or twice. I believe this is early throttle body fuel injection. I still call it a carbureator. Spend a few dollars to really cherry her out and do car shows with it. It should do very well in the "Survivor" Class. Original spare has never been on the ground. Trunk is clean and rust free. Still has an original card board floor mat in the trunk form the factory!
To sum it up this is an early 80's Plymouth that has been well kept and has low miles. The quality here is of early 80's car manufacturing quality. Certainly not a Cadillac. Just a nice fun old car to show off or just drive. I hold a Nebraska Dealer License. I am a Mopar fanatic. I love this little car. But can't keep it. The car is sold as is. If you have any questions call me at 402 659 1118. Have it inspected or come see it yourself. Once reserve is met the car is sold. You will have to arrange shipping.
