1970 Plymouth Duster
This car came to us on a trade from a private collection. It was a one car collection. It seems like the ole boy's with only one car seem to pamper, love, and keep their pride and joy up to snuff. He, for many years, had one love and oneplace to spend his money. He did so and made this a very fine street machine. This was always a very good solid car. Car shows no real signs of any real metal work. Only metal work we found was the addition of anti-twist frame rails on bottom of car. Really neat stuff. Frame supports from front unibody to rear unibody. Car also has the adjustable air shocks on rear. He also added four plunger disc brakes on front. The four speed transmission is a close ratio tranny. We were told this was a factory 4 speed car? We dont' know, but assume some of you plymouth people can tell by numbers? The Miles!! He claims the miles are correct, who knows? He stated that car sat in storage with no engine for a period of 28 years? The undercarriage looks like it is possible. I jotted down some of the stuff he told me about the car. But please come look it over as all of our cars leave here AS-IS. It is a 426 WEDGE motor. It is bored 30 over. Holds 80 pounds of oil pressure. 780 dual line dual pump aluminum hi rise intake. 6 blade fan. Electric fan also. High volume pump. 580 cam. 7 quart oil pan. Steel crank. Steel rods. Hooker tuned headers. Mallory X24 ingition. rearend is 355 positive traction. 4 speed close ratio transmission. Its got full set of old school anson wheels. The paint on car is awesome. Black high gloss, in the right sunlight. Just a hint of metallic. High dollar aluminum radiator. All is well with this rocket. It is FAST AND DEPENDABLE. The tires are like new. Rear bumper is very nice. Front bumper has a few bubbles in chrome. All glass is very nice. Clutch is very good. Works fine, on occasions I can detect a little chatter noise. Not sure where from-not too noticeable. Could even be throw out bearing. Not sure. Can't think about anything else good or bad to say bout this car other than it is a hand full. Not a kids toy. Proof is in the puddin. Come check it out. Shipping is not a problem, our friend here in town ships automobiles professionally countrywide and is bonded and insured.
