Description

A fantastic 1971 Hemi Cuda Convertible 4-speed clone that started off as a real 1971 Barracuda convertible with a 318 engine and a manual trans. The car has 400 miles on it since the complete and thorough restoration where the underside is painted impact yellow just like the exterior. Nothing was left un-restored and the car was given every conceivable option to our knowledge. These options include AM-FM thumb wheel radio, a console mounted cassette player with microphone, six way driver's seat, front and rear rubber bumpers, Rim Blow steering wheel, front leather seats, power windows, chin spoilers, rear wing, shaker hood, power top, power brakes with discs in front, power steering, fog lamps, 4:10 Dana 60, 18 Spline 4 Speed trans, fender top turn signals, and 15x7 Rallye Wheels to name a few.
Everything mechanically (including the suspension) is new or totally rebuilt including real AFB Hemi 4-speed Carbs and using 90% or more OEM parts. The only repro stuff on the car is basically the rims, rubber seals, choke, seat covers, conv top and steel shaker base. All of the other options are OEM Mopar including the the wing, steering wheel, chin spoilers, hood, ring, adapter and shaker bubble, along with the other shaker stuff. This car is a two time winner in its class at Chryslers at Carlisle. It runs and drives fantastically.
Runs on premium pump gas using 93 or 94 octane. A new Mopar Hemi block and new Mopar Hemi heads were used that he had assembled by a local engine expert. New stock compression pistons and new rods were used with reconditioned rocker assemblies. The cam is a new 509 cam which is slightly bigger than stock. It has an original Hemi Intake manifold and real Carter Hemi carbs that were totally rebuilt. Finally, it has cast iron exhaust manifolds (one is oem and one is a repo) going to a stock repro H-pipe.
