1941 Plymouth P12 Special Deluxe Business Coupe
Flathead 6 cylinder, 3 speed on the column
Starts, runs, drives and stops great! This is a great around town cruiser. Goes down the road straight and cruises at 65mph with no trouble
I bought this car last summer from a family that had owned it since 1983. It is believed to have been an older restoration. It is a rust free car with good driver quality paint. It has a handful of scratches, cracks and small dings, but it is perfect for someone that wants to be able to cruise without worrying about getting rock chips or scratches. The undercarriage was undercoated and is as nice as the outside. The interior looks to have been redone prior to the previous owner’s family and is very presentable. No rips or tears in the interior. It had brakes redone, new radiator, new glass except doors and new headliner installed before I bought it last summer.
In the last year I’ve done the following work to the car:
-New Coker wide white walls
-New reproduction 1957 Dodge Lancer wheel covers
-3” Posies lowered rear leaf springs
-Shortened front springs 3”
-New Napa battery
-New door glass, window channel and fuzzies
-Repaired window regulators
-New vent window glass, frames and weather stripping
-New headlights, headlight switch and relays added
-New tail light switch and bulbs
-Repaired and calibrated speedometer
-Repaired coolant gauge
-Repaired fuel gauge and sending unit.
This is a great looking car that runs, drives and stops like it should. It has all the gauges functioning properly and I drive it around regularly. The only thing I haven’t fixed is the windshield wipers since I don’t drive it in the rain. The only reason I am selling is I would prefer something with an automatic transmission and a bit more room.
Where else are you going to find a rust free, driving, pre-WW2 coupe for this price? Please send a message if you have any questions.
I do have the vehicle for sale locally and reserve the right to end the auction early.
