Cruises interstate speeds 65-68 mph on road trips to Smoky Mts. . St. Louis. Minneapolis. Detroit. Indianapolis. western Iowa. and Chicago freeways. averages 19 mpg on regular gas; rides on original 16-inch rims. Firestone 6. 5 X 16 tires with good tread. Body-on restoration and repaint 2001. restored stainless rocker trim. other stainless very good. bumpers very good. New front seat floor. floor supports and under-body rocker panels installed (stamped to original die) in 2001. All brakes redone 2014. Consistent oil pressure 40 psi. idle 20 psi; engine vacuum 20 inch at idle; vacuum wipers work excellent; decent glass; not original interior but similar; Functioning park brake. New wire harness to original materials and specs from Rhode Island Harness Co. . modified for three-brake light illumination. New rubber floor mat to original specs; step plate original rubber. good but not perfect; working heater and defroster; 3 speed column shift. standard hydraulic brakes. manual steering; new clutch 2005.
