1968 Plymouth Road Runner Here is a beautiful PRIME example of a NUMBERS-MATCHING, with build sheet)high quality restoration of a RARE super solid Road Runner! This 1968 POST not a hard top. If you are a true Mopar guy you know this is a HARD TO FIND car! These cars we often used on the track beings they are so solid in comparison to the hardtops. People loved to use these cars because the chassis doesn’t flex nearly as much as the non-posted model and so many of them were lost on the track that it is almost impossible to find them any more yet alone in THIS condition. The body on this car is very straight with lines that are incredibly crisp and contours that are very smooth! This car has NO rust and is super solid. The paint is beautiful and is CODE correct as well. It was painted with high attention to detail and the clear coat is deep and makes it look like a calm lake! As the pictures and videos both show it will reflect any image put in front of it! The bumpers are true and bright right along with the rest of the trim on the car. It was ordered with the décor package and all of it looks GREAT! The door jams are super clean and the strikers HAVE NOT been painted! This car was also ordered with the police package that included bigger drum brakes that do an incredible job of stopping this car. The headlights are clear and free of cracks and the same goes for the taillights as well. This car shows incredibly well! The interior is super clean and maintains the factor ordered blue. It was also ordered with headrests as they did not come this way in 68. The carpet was special factory order as well (posts came with rubber floor) and it is free of stains or rips. The seats look like they have never been sat on before! The dash mat is free of cracks and looks incredible. The headliner is TIGHT and as no stains or snags. The door panels look great and ALL the hardware works as it should! The gauges show NO sign of age and are super clear. It retains the ORIGINAL steering wheel as well. This interior is SHOW quality! The engine bay is super clean as well and has been painted with the same amount of detail as the exterior. It hosts the ORIGINAL 383 that has been rebuilt and brought to life with a roller rocker cam kit! It sound incredible and is very responsive. The ORIGINAL rebuilt 4spd transmission hits every gear no problem and it pulls great though every gear as well! All the wiring has been went through and is NEW. The wiper motor is OEM NEW and is NOT aftermarket! The only other thing changed is the bracket (came from a 69) that holds the coolant lines (originally it was on the valve cover). Allot of Mopar guys do the same thing to clean the bay up a bit and get lines away from the engine. This bay also has the ORIGINAL cross posts that match the build sheet as well! This car has NEVER been wrecked. The suspension has been changed up a bit and the car now has Hemi leafs and springs to help eliminate suspension flex during acceleration. It has also acquired a Hemi sway bar to help with roll as well! I have included pictures of the build sheet as well. This car is incredible and it will NOT last long at all!
