Description
Original dealer invoice; factory broadcast sheet; factory "recall " letter from 1968; original "Certicard"; original Operating and Warranty manual; original build quality "punch card." Here is a chance to own a huge part of Mopar history. The 1968 Plymouth GTX was introduced as the Belvedere GTX in 1967 by the Plymouth division of GM to be a "gentleman's muscle car". The GTX was to be an exceptional blend of style and performance. What differentiated it from a normal Belvedere was its special grille and rear fascia shared with the Satellite as well as mock hood scoops and optional racing stripes. The '68 GTX is sporting it's original Super Commando 440 CID V8 that is linked to a 4-speed manual transmission putting power to the ground through the "Super-Grip" differential. Beautiful exterior color of Sunfire Yellow really pops and is very nicely complimented by the black vinyl top, lack interior, lack side-body stripes and hood accents. Inside, he black bucket seats with center console and four speed shifter, riginal AM Radio and rear speaker and crank-style roll-up windows gives you that true muscle car feel. This '68 GTX truly lives up to its reputation as a "luxury hot rod" with the addition of power steering. Old-school, riginal suspension setups are fun! Body roll and some unpredictability make it far more of a "driving" experience on a twisty road. Any under steer can be remedied with the gas pedal and the power steering assist which helps manhandle the beast through the corners. The addition of "period correct" Cragars and radial tires also help in the handling department and give this beauty a true muscle car stance. The original factory "chrome road wheels" come with the car for the purists that might take interest. Options include: power steering (added), eat belts, inyl interior, enter console, ear speaker, actory tinted windshield, nd aluminum/alloy wheels wrapped in radial tires. This classic American muscle car is ready to hop in and cruise to the local drive-in! These highly collectable cars are getting harder and harder to find. Do not miss this RARE chance to own one!
