1959 Plymouth is featured on the cover of this months Hemmings Classic Car!
The styling genius behind this rare 1959 Plymouth Fury Hard Top Coupe was Virgil Exner and for 1959 Plymouth was one of his most stunning creations. The proportions and scale of the fins of this unique, ne year only design make this car one of the pinnacles of the "Forward-Look" years at Chrysler Corporation. Few of this quality andcondition remain!
See Flickr wherethere are almost 100 photos of the car!

There is almost no rust on this car, n fact the frame retains almost all oftheoriginal factory applied paint. See photos above and on Flickr.Based on the condition of the frame, believe that the miles on the odometer are correct. I have added 4400 miles since I have owned it.
This car drives as beautifully as it looks. All mechanicals function properly.Negatives: slight wrinkle on passenger door panel, dhesive-like blemish on passenger door panel, ome minor dings to exterior paint, ome paint scratches on dash board. Areas of missing paint on steering wheel due to wear. Small section of headliner bow under driver side visor has been repaired with silver tape. Some small tears in rear driver side seat arm rest. Some discoloration at the lower edge of the stainless steel insert of trunk lid tire cover. Scratch to driver side rear chrome bumprette. All these shown in photographs on Flickr.

The story that I was told on this car by thepresident of the Plymouth Owners Club of Minnesota is that it was stored for the first 6 years of it's life due to earlyrepossession of the car. It then passed through several owners (all detailed on the registrations) and was then purchased by that president in the 1990. He sold it at an RM auction in 2007. I have owned this magnificent vehicle since June of 2008 and can tell you all about it. I am happy to suggest shipping options and help when the truck arrives. If a bidder has excessive negative feedback I will delete the bid and block bidder from this auction. If your bidding score is 5 or less, welcome your bid but ask that you contact me before placing it. a bidder has excessive negative feedback I will delete their bids and block bidder from this auction.
