The Dallas Love Field Frontiers of Flight Museum is the fitting location for this classic '63 Plymouth Sport Fury Convertible. Be sure to visit the historic Flight Museum if you find yourself in Dallas, exas.
Under the hood is this upgraded 383 4bbl. V8 with aluminum intake. Although you could order the Golden Commando 383 4bbl, 8, his car was originally equipped with the 361 2bbl. V8 engine option. This robust powerplant is paired with the TorqueFlite 3-speed automatic transmission. The engine compartment displays original sheetmetal throughout the firewall, nner fenders and core support.
The original Fender Identification Plate is in place and legible. A3 = 361 2bbl. V8 // B2 - TorqueFlite Transmission // J7 = White Convertible Top // K3 = Backup Lights
This engine compartment also features an aluminum radiator & electric fan.
Open the doors to 1963.
This interior is largely original. The classic pushbutton controls for the transmission are functional.
The upholstery shows well, ront to back in this distinctive dark red Mother Mopar design.
The dash showcases the original instrumentation with much of the chrome-plated plastic brightwork worn smooth off. The rim-blow horn & steering wheel are also intact. The horn is functional.
The original AM "Transaudio" radio is also intact, ut not working.
The white convertible top is clean and in good condition. This is a manually operated top.
This classic Sport Fury design didn't hit its mark initially, owever these care as quickly appreciating in value. We really like the style of the '62 to '64 Plymouth Sport Fury. Interestingly is the '61 models were 400 pounds heavier and 7 inches shorter than this style.
The factory 14-inch steel wheels wear original Sport Fury hubcaps all around.
The trunk has been freshly painted and looks overall solid throughout as does the underbody.
You can see some overspray on the floor pans, ut this undercarriage is truly exceptionally solid throughout, isplaying original pans. This is a dry climate kept Sport Fury judging by the condition of these floor pans.
Enjoy our remaining photos and again feel free to contact Dave at 214-213-7072 or Maris at 214-616-2317 with any questions.
