The Good: *99% Rust free car to start with, nly rust a small spot behind the drivers seat and there were a few small perforations in the outer passenger side quarter skin due to southern dirt roads as this was a Georgia/Alabama car it's whole life. *painted Viper Red with matte black Barracuda Sport Stripe (correct dimension) and interior metals are painted to match *All New Black New Legendary interior-seats and door panels *New headliner *New Visors *All new ACC Carpet *low mileage was showing on the odometer before restoration (~35K) *correct 65 Formula S intake manifold and Carter AFB 3853S *NOS Formula S emblems *Lots of NOS stuff under the hood *Commando wrinkle finish valve covers *Commando chrome breather *Commando chrome pcv and and oil filler cap *two Original side view mirrors *Faux "original Green Cap" battery topper and MOPAR decal *all trim is complete *I can include the New Cragars and BFG's that have less than 100 mile on them or I can include the original 14 inch wide rims with correct Formula S 14 inch wheel covers that are in really nice shape *NOS Formula S/Commando 273 resonator *all new brakes, ardware, aster cylinder, oft line,s and new wheel cylinders and parking brakes. The Bad: *Not a true Commando engine, ut it ran strong before the work began (donor car motor was locked up) *I am including the Commando Sway Bar and Lower control arms with correct tabs. I didn't install them because the alignment was dead on and I don't want to mess with it for now. Also, recommend a front end rebuild with new bushings and ball joints. *Needs rear axle bearings as i can hear them hum a bit. *Needs to be fine tuned, uns well, ust fussy at first start. I will probably have this worked out. *Someone before me changed the ball and trunion to a slip yoke.*Fender tag is currently missing*Tach is not registering, thergauges may not be accurate.
The Ugly: There is NO ugly here!! *Car is registered in my name but since it is a Pre '75 Alabama car THERE IS NO TITLE, ill of sale only.
I am currently finishing the small details that include: *install review mirror *small carpet details(in back area) *new windshield washer pump and tee to hook up windshield washer *install the rare stainless steel carpet guard (included) *hook up heater cables *repair driver’s side fresh air vent door *new glovebox liner *install new factory warranty card in glovebox ( I will provide it as soon as I have it)*new seat belts*clean and detail theundercarriage*Remember this is a 50 year old car, hile not perfect, t is a very good specimen!
I have sunk a lot of money and time into this project and I will never get all of that back. I am asking $18,500 locally and will entertain all offers. Reserve is below that. Car is beautiful!
I think this would make an incredible Father/Son project car as it has a handful of little things to do almost all of which will not take it off of the road so you can enjoy driving it and teaching a son to turn wrenches and appreciate the old cars!
If you need more info, lease ask questions!I will help with the loading if car is to be shipped. On Nov-16-15 at 17:33:57 PST, eller added the following information:
I have added several more photos taken in better lighting. The others in front of a rich persons house(definitely not mine) and were taken in harsh sunlight. These taken in my driveway, ake it easier to see the quality of the paint and interior. Thanks,David
