1963 Pontiac Bonneville convertible. This car was part of a large private collection stored indoors in California from 2003 to 2014. The car received extensive mechanical restoration during 2000 - 2002 (92,870 miles) consisting of a professional engine rebuild, ransmission rebuild, ront suspension rebuild, nd all new brake wheel cylinders. A new convertible top motor, opcylinders and dash switch were also added. All with receipts totaling over $10,000. The matching number 389 4 bbl motor runs strong and is original, ith a block code of 36P (see photo). During this time it received a high quality repaint with clear coat in a 1963 Bonneville color called Marlin Aqua, deep blue-green metallic. Although this paint job is over 10 years old it appears as new and is still basically show quality. Laser straight body with good fit ofbody panelsand nicely painted door jambs etc. Interior is original with a generally good appearance, with some wear to the leather inserts andminor pull-apart of stitching. Dash pad appears to have been recovered, arpet looks nearly new. Door panels have holes cut for aftermarket speakers by previous owner (repro door panels available). Original chrome very good to excellent, ith no or very minor fine pitting. Bumpers are excellent originals. Nice 63 spinner hubcaps.
Excellent original body, loors, loor braces, nd trunk. The rockers are 95% perfect, ut some very minor rust bubbling in the bottom of the rockers below the rear windows (see photos, bout a 4-8 inch area on each side). An easy fix andnot visible unless you are on the ground looking up. All lights, orn, ower top, ipers work. The original radio and clock do not work. It needs a trunk mat and there is no jack.Nice spare and rim. Needsan exhaust system (old rusty and rattles). During my ownership I have replaced the master cylinder, uel pump, hanged fluids, nd had a new professionally installed Electron top, ads, ack window, nd top well installed. Have all receipts and records in a book about 1.5 inches thick. Transmission front seal has just started leaking.
This is an excellent car to upgrade to a very high $$ convertible. Low starting price of $13,500 with no reserve, arless than it would cost to buy an unrestored car and restore to this level. A recent search of internet prices for restored cars ranged from $18K - $47K.Selling only because I just bought another very low mileage vintage convertible. Car is sold as is with no warranty, nd is located in Edmond, klahoma. I can work with overseas buyers if they make shipping arrangements to have the car picked up at my house. Check my Ebay feedback and thanks for viewing this auction.
