PHS Documentation SELLER REMARKS 1975 might be the "lost year" for Trans Am. but clean examples like this Stellar Blue car here are hard to ignore. Professionally done paint. Rally wheels. black buckets. show trophies. PHS documentation and matching numbers make this T/A one to take home. Stellar Blue is a great color with an even better name. Blue 'Birds are especially cool thanks to their contrasting decals-that bright blue screaming chicken on the hood just stands out in a sea of red. silver and especially black cars. With its black accents it looks exactly as Pontiac intended: halfway between full 1970's funky and demonically possessed. The bumpers. so frequently twisted and warped by time and heat. are in great shape here. The original tinted glass is clean. as are the taillights and trim. Panel gaps are better than average. and the bodywork was done to a high standard a mere two years ago. There are new door and trunk seals as well as new window felts. so it seals up well and doesn't rattle down the road like some of its siblings. Standing back and taking the car in as a whole is an easy way to see why Pontiac moved more than 27. 00 Trans Ams in 1975. nearly a threefold increase over 1974. Pontiac's pony car was on its stratospheric rise to 1970's royalty. Inside. the correct black vinyl interior is in excellent shape. New seat covers front and rear are supported by fresh foam padding. Full instrumentation was standard on Trans Ams. and the dials look great set in to the engine-turned instrument panel. The dash pad is in great shape as is the center console. There's a Formula steering wheel in your hands. power windows and power locks at your disposal and an 8-track player in the dash. The original radio was an AM/FM unit. and it's included with the car. but I bet you won't reinstall it and brand new embroidered mats are at your feet. Factory A/C is in place to keep you cool while a new heater core warms you back up. Trans Ams have a comfortable ride and some of the best handling of their era. and a car like this is pleasure to drive. Under the hood is the original. numbers-matching 400 cubic inch V8. It's not just the block that matches. because this one's got date-coded parts from the heads. the intake. the carburetor. and even the water pump and alternator. You'll see chrome valve covers and a chrome air cleaner base to add some flash. but the original plain steel pieces come with the car. too. Likewise. a fresh Edelbrock carburetor is in place while the Quadrajet comes on the side. A new 4-core radiator keeps temps in line while fresh tune up parts ensure proper running. The original cowl tag is in place and confirms the car's options. and the finishes are nicely done and correct down to a full set of reproduction decals. The chassis was cleaned and detailed for show but remains largely original. Flowmaster mufflers and true dual exhaust pipes add back a pile of horsepower that the stock setup robbed away. A new fuel tank and sending unit dispel any fears of clogged fuel filters. Restored Pontiac Rally II wheels wearing 245/60/15 BFGoodrich tires are at all four corners. as well as in the trunk keeping the restored jack company. This is a great-looking. well-optioned. and fully-documented Trans Am.
