This auction is for a 1972 Grand Prix - Model J. It is a rock solid Georgia car, with zero rust. Built on 11/15/1971, at the Atlanta Assembly Plant. Once completed, this car was then shipped to Hayes and Gailey Pontiac, Inc., in Cornelia, Georgia for delivery to the first registered owner. For the last forty plus years this car had remained in Georgia, until we purchased it.
This Grand Prix was ordered as a “loaded”, with a total of twenty-nine factory installed options, all of which are still on the car. The car has received one repaint of the original Starlight Black paint, using modern paint technology. The Black bucket seat interior and Black vinyl top are original to the car and are in perfect condition.
The Pontiac 400 cid engine was rebuilt approx. 5000 miles ago. It runs perfectly. The air conditioning blows cold and the car drives great, with no issues. It is an exceptionally nice and correct Grand Prix, but not a trailer queen.
It comes with a complete set of Pontiac Historic Services (PHS) paperwork, original build sheet and Pontiac Division window sticker.
