This is an 1981 Trans am that was redone completely in 2000 according to the previous owner. it was garage kept since 1991 I also did alot of aftermarket things on the car when i bought it 5 years ago up until now. They were done by a professional shops. This is a very solid car and was built with the best parts. I have over $70,000 into this car.
Engine: Pontiac 455 bored 30 over to 462, all forged internals, Edelbrock aluminum heads ported and polished with guide plates, performance springs and Harland Sharp roller rockers. Edelbrock performer 2 intake port matched to the heads. The cam is a 660 lift with a really nice thump. Quick Fuel carb 950 cfm E85 fuel, MSD ignition, Two 3000 cfm electric fans with fabricated aluminum shroud and 4 core aluminum radiator. The engine was built by the well know Charlie Kababi from Warpath Performance in Opalocka Florida. The engine has approx 550 HP and 625 Torque
Trans: Built Turbo 400 with 9 inch performance converter with an external electric fan transmission cooler and quick change filter. This is mounted up under the front nose. Gear Vendors overdrive to change it to a 6 speed. The car does 70 at 2200 rpm. If you don't know what a Gear Vendor is please look it up. They are a blast to drive!
Rear Diff: A shortened Mark Williams dana 60 Package rearend with 411 Richmond gears, 31 spline axle, disk brakes. ($5500.00)
Suspension: Front has QA1 adjustable coil over springs, larger diameter anti-roll bar and larger upgraded dick brakes. The rearend was mini tubbed to fit the 13" wide wheels and tires. Installed a DETROIT SPEED ENGINEERING quadra link rear suspension with adjustable coil overs. Aftermarket weld in subframe connectors were install to keep the body from twisting. The entire car can be adjusted higher or lower and the ride can be adjusted softer or harder with the easy of turning the knobs on the shock all around.. Right now it has an awesome rake and is set up nice. The car eats up the corners with ease and has 0 body roll.
Wheel and Tires: Billet Specialties 18x8 front and 18x13 rear. The tires are BF Goodrich G-force T/A drag Radials. Rears are 345/30/18 They are almost brand new with approx 200 miles on them. They grip really well.
Exhaust: Hooker headers, 3" pipes, X-pipe, 3" dynamax mufflers that sound really nice. The exhaust dumps by the rearend but you can extend them out to the back if you choose to.
Interior: The dash pad is original with out any cracks, The gauge holder was remade with 1/8 aluminum to the factory measurements and filled with silver Autometer gauges. The floor, roof, and doors had FAT MAT installed for sound and heat reduction. The carpet is new. The front seats are BRIDE racing seats and are fully reclinable and move front to back. The rear were recently re-upholstered. New Headliner. New Kicker 6x9's and 10" Sub with amp and bluetooth Head unit. Sounds really good. The shifter is TCI billet aluminum with a 12v button to shift the Gear Vendors unit.
Exterior: The Paint is PPG black with 3 coats of clear and was wet sanded and buffed. It was painted a couple of years ago and is a 9.5 out of a 10 and looks beautiful as you can see in the pics. I left the tail and trim off because i like the clean look. If you want to put some back on they can be easily installed. The side markers were welded and shaved. The Bird is matte black for a subtle look. The door handles, window trim and headlight trim were painted black as well. The front headlights are custom blacked out, one piece with LED projectors like the Year One Burt Reynolds edition. I have the spoiler package and can include it when i ship off of the car or i can also install it on the car. I didn't put it on the car because i like it better without.
Overall: The car has cold A/C and the compressor was upgraded to a CLASSIC AUTO AIR unit that only uses about 4 horse power vs 15-20 on the old units. The shaker hood scoop was customized and is a little taller to allow more air flow. The cars currently uses e85 fuel but it can be changed to use 93 octane just by replacing the Carb. This is a very nice solid driving beautiful car that turns heads were ever it goes. It isn't a trailer queen but you can drive it any were with out any mechanical problems at all. If you have any other questions about the car please feel free to ask i don't have anything to hide. Im not desperate to sell it im just looking to change it for a new toy. A good friend of mine has a transport company and i get a huge discount so i can ship the car free to the lower 48 states. The car will be covered with a water proof car cover and shipped like that unless you want to pay extra to have it shipped enclose. Then i will charge extra. Thanks.
Also you can listen to it idle and see a video of it here. Search ( Noren trans am ) on you tube
