Description

1976 Pontiac transam,had a 400 ci,and Iupgraded it to a455 ci,which I had bored out .04, to 474ci.Car is registered in Oregon,and had 2016 plates.the motor is as follows:new pistons,rings,new rods,main bearings-.10 under. a very lumpy cam,new lifters,balanced motor,heads #17,10.1-1 compression,high pressure-high volume oil pump,heads had valves ground.all cylinders have a compression of 165-175,when first tested,after assembly.has a 4 barrel q-jet carb.excellent performing motor.all new seals,gaskets,etc.tranny is a th350,which performs very nicely.has posi rear end.brakes are new, pads,shoes,cylinders,master cylinder.pedal travel,a bit low,because of low vacuum,caused by lumpy cam,107 lobe separation.car has a new 3-core aluminum radiator,and keeps motor cool.has a new heater core.interior: has new re-upholstere, front,and rear seats,and are very nice.has new carpet on floor.headliner is the new conversion kit type,and will need to be tightened up,and was just basically roughed in.dash pad is original,and is nice.dash bezel is a bit rough,but useable.all accessories,work great,as does the turning lights,park lights,headlights,brake lights,etc.4 way flashers do not work.car is roughly primered gray,so as to preventrusting.car is a bit rusty,on the surface,under carriage,but no major issues.back seat floor pans,were replaced,and welded in,and inside of car,on the floor area,was undercoated,and sealed.I have since driven the car app. 500 miles,and did not notice any ares of concern.it drives,and handles very nice,with lots of power.has a great am-fm working radio,and a working tach.I do not at present have the papers,to prove the work,that was done,but it can be verified by JEFF'SMACHINE SHOP,IN SALEM,OR,WHERE I WAS LIVING, At the time.wheels are the rallyll,and has 235-75-R15" tires,with excellent tread.there is the usual bondo area's,but nothing bad.car has a great shaker setup,and is in nice condition,a very nice feature to have.trunk is fine,and includes a spare tire,and lug wrench.overall,this is a great car,with excellent pontential,if you have some expertise,on cars.this is not a rust bucket,and is a very nice,fun car to drive.this car is not being listed as a show car,and has a very low price accordingly.
