Selling my 1967 Pontiac GTO that I rescued several years ago and turned it into a Vintage/Hillclimb race car and drag race car. I have competed in Giants Despair Hillclimb and its latest run was 1 second off the track record (it ran 51.031 seconds). It has SCCA logbooks and an SCCA stamped road race legal roll cage.
The car has/comes with the followingtwo aluminum race seats with 5 point harnesstwo transmissions (saginaw)ford 9inch rearATL fuel cell 15 gallonsHolley 850 CFM Double pumperEdelbrock Aluminum Performer RPM cylinder headsall four wheels have single adjustable coil-over shocks on themfour wheel single piston disc brakesi also have a set of ram-air-iii iron heads that I used for 2 years before switching to Edelbrock Aluminum heads. The RamAir-III heads are included.I also have the original 1967 TH400 automatic with torque converter - included as well.Car also has 8 rims, four rims for racing tires and four rims for street/towing tires
It is a rolling chassis right now. The engine blew up at the last event (oil pressure). I have a Pontiac 400 block bored 0.040 over and the Butler 461 Stroker kit - this is sitting at machine shop right now. The engine also has the edlebrock performer RPM heads, edelbrock single plane intake, mezeir electric water pump, aluminum radiator and several other components. I spent a fair amount of money on this racing it at the hillclimbs and it was very VERY fun. I also drag raced it and it ran an ~8.5 second in the 1/8 mile. I have all the parts to re-assemble the engine and a fresh engine block for it.
The car has no more body rust, but it is a bare-bones race car interior. If you are on instagram, lookup the #antichrysler for some fun videos and pictures of its escapades.
Its a fast and unique vehicle. You can race it in lemons/chumpcar, vintage SCCA (I have raced it with the historic race group at Watkins Glen), you can hillclimb, time trial, drag race it ... and it is still on my allstate insurance plan and it is still street legal. Or if you are really motivated, cut the roll cage out and turn it into a street car.
I want to focus on racing my SCCA Spec Racer Ford so I am thinning down my project cars. Remember, this is a rolling chassis - but I have ALL the engine parts to re-assemble a 461 stroker with the Butler rotating assembly. All those parts are included. So you can rebuild the engine over the winter and have fun in 2017.
Come buy it now - its a real GTO and a unique car. For sale at NO RESERVE. Title in Hand and SCCA Log Books In Hand now.
*all pictures are current*The first picture is from the hillclimb this year in July 2016The rest are as it sits right now on my lift - waiting for sale
