Description

This is one of seven (known) 1932 Pontiac V8 Series 302s left in the world. This is a very unique opportunity to own a wonderful piece of American automotive history. This barn find 2 owner car is completely intact. with the exception of the radiator ornament. The car is a wonderul candidate for full restoration. mechanical restoration. or even (if you're crazy) a rat / patina rodThe thing that made the 1932 Pontiac Eight such an exclusive car rested under its long hood-a V-8 engine. Production of the first Pontiac V-8 began on December 22. 1931. and it was largely carried over from the 1930-'31 Oakland. The 251-cu. in. L-head V-8 used cast-iron construction with an oversquare 3 7/16- x 3 3/8-inch bore and stroke and a "flat" 180-degree crankshaft. With 5. 2:1 compression ratio and a one-barrel Marvel downdraft carburetor. it produced 85hp at 3. 00 rpm. Pontiac made this particular model for a short 90 days! They discontinued the pricey V8 in 1933 in favor of a more affordable straight 8. Pontiac would not se another V8 for quite some time. THIS is the bird that Started it all!!!You are bidding on a non-running. non-driving. rusted barn find. There are no warrenties on this vehicle. What you see is what you get. which includes the spare wheels. The previous owner (Windsor. CT) was driving this car 5 years ago. I believe him as far as I could throw him. not far! Either way. better safe than sorry. she is soaking in kroil and mystery oil as we speak. I will not attempt turn the motor as this is an intricate engine and I don't want to mess anything up for the next buyer if it is stuck. So regarding the motor. I can not speake to its condition. I will say there was a full load of old oil in the crank which was a relief. There is no title with this car. The last owner loast it. He owned it 30 years. so I would say its clean. www. broadwaytitle. com will issue a new one for a small fee. Happy Bidding!
