Description

1977 Trans AmTwo owner. 36k orig. milesOriginal tires. Original plug wiresNO RESERVE!!Up for auction is a clean. Original 1977 Trans Am. This is a two owner car and the second owner has owned it since 1980. This car just came out of a 17 year storage in a heated basement garage. I won't call this car a full survivor because it did have some paint work in the past. I was told by the previous owner that it was repainted under warranty by GM it due to paint issues which plagued these cars back then. The car was painted except for the hood and nose which are still original. It has had a couple minor touch ups in the past but it is still a very nice driver quality/survivor type paint. Expect some minor chips. Dings. Scratches due to the age of the paint but overall it looks good and gets lots of attention. The floors. Frames and trunk are all absolutely rust free and in great shape. This is a solid car!The engine fires right up and has no ticks. Noises or smoke. It goes to high idle and kicks down as it should. It is all original down to the plug wires except for the headers. The previous owner lost the original manifolds over the years. The original transmission still shifts great and is very smooth. It does leave a drop or two of fluid on the ground when parked. The rear is quiet and a highway friendly 2. 41 posi. Overall it is very responsive and smooth to drive. The interior is clean and original. The dash pad is clean with no cracks. The gauges work except for the fuel gauge. It has the original AM/FM 8 track which power up but don't play. The seats and carpet are clean originals. The headliner is nice and it has a new package tray. There are a few cracks in the console door. Overall it is nice for an original car. The exhaust is in good shape and sounds nice but not too loud. The brakes and suspension are original and still nice and tight. The tires are original and still hold air but I wouldn't plan on driving it very far due to their age. It would be best to trailer the car home and maybe get driver tires and keep the originals for show. This car comes with all of its original paperwork except for a window sticker. The car also has a real nice build sheet that was found under the rear seat. If you are looking for a real clean. mostly original survivor car this is it. They don't come around that often so don't miss it. Please bid only if you are serious. Please ask any questions before bidding. I have more pics and can get any others that you may need. I can be reached through Ebay email or call 610-442-2503. This car is located in Rockaway. NJ about 50 miles east of my location in my friends garage. The car will have to be picked up there. Last man standing owns it so good luck and thanks for looking.
